Why Kevin Owens should win the IC title at Night of Champions

The one man that imo can bring back creditability back to the IC title is Owens, book a fatal-4-way match at NOC between Cesaro, Ryback, Big Show and Owens which Owens wins. Over the coming months book Owens as a unstoppable IC champion who beats the likes of Ryback, Big Show, Neville and Orton. Have Sami Zayn win a tournament to be number 1 contender to Owens, with the tournament final taking place at Fastlane. That sets up a match between Owens and Zayn at Wrestlemania for the IC title, Zayn wins the title from Owens and Kevin can move on to other things.

The Intercontinental belt used to be placed on the workhorses of the roster. I don't mind Ryback, but there are better choices than him on the roster. Owens is one of them.

I respectfully disagree. As we all know - Bo Dallas was directly responsible for the Big Guy's recovery (his power knows no bounds) - and thus deserves a title shot and a lengthy reign. What else does Bo Dallas have to do to convince the non-bolievers?

A Bo Dallas reign would be gold and amount to a large amount of amusing segments and promos.

"credibility"

Ryback is a much better choice as IC champ than the dude who tapped like a bitch a month ago. Keep the strap on The Big Guy until D-Bry heals up and can get back to making the belt important.
Bryan is far too injury prone to do that. There's no way he should be wrestling every week when he comes back. The last thing we should want is him coming back and getting another injury. He should have a part-time schedule and be saved for special occasions.

Yeeeeaaaah I'm siding with the guy that said get rid of the IC title, either merge it with the US title, or just trash can it already!!

Seriously, why would anyone even want to win that belt anymore and don't tell me so they can make it matter again, because THAT should be to the booking team!!!

Sigh, whatever happens happens, looooong past the point of caring on this. -_-

I think Kevin Owens losing to Ryback in a series of matches for the title can help elevate Ryback and the IC title. Then they should have someone more capable of actually getting heat like Rusev win after the Ryback VS Owens feud, so not only does Rusev look strong but he can elevate the title like he did the US title.

Now with the World Heavyweight Championship gone, the IC title should mean something, but as it stands now and as already mentinoned, it means even less than the US title.

Merely holding the IC title doesn't accomplish anything. The Intercontinental Champion should be able to become #1 contender for the WWE Championship, either by having a number of succesful title defences, or by the end of the year (fighting for the WWE title at the Royal Rumble). I wanted this to be the case when Lesnar was away, for the IC Champion to serve as interim heavyweight champion.

This way everyone would be gunning for it, instead of it being a hindrance and it will finaly make it a fun, interesting and competitive division, I think. Of course, that also means that the IC Champion should win his matches instead of losing every other week on Raw. Owens, Cesaro and Rusev are fine choices for this. Orton as well if they wanna go the Cena route. Bryan when he returns too.

No, the IC title is worthless and would just hold Owens back at this point, espeacially at a time when he's gaining momentum on the main roster though I don't know where he goes now I'd probably have him face Cena or Orton at NOC. Rollins winning both titles messes things up for NOC as it should have been Owens vs Cena for the US title.
