Can we just talk about how good that Paul Heyman promo was for a minute?

I mean even by HIS lofty standards. Jesus fucking Christ. The man could sell sand to the Arabs! The guy is fucking gold every single time he picks up a microphone. Man's a fucking genius at what he does today. I honestly find it hard to think of anyone who is THAT good THAT consistently on the stick.

Eh, I'm becoming almost bored with it. I know a few people in the RAW discussion thread were saying it was becoming a bit repetitive. He's great but there's only so many times I can deal with his pontificating and matter of fact bull.

It was amazing. One of Heyman's better promos in awhile, and I loved how he referred to Brock as "my beast" with Brock perched ominously and victoriously on his throne.

Loved how Brock seemed to genuinely be smiling at the Last Rites recital (Heyman has said before that Brock never wants to know what Heyman will say beforehand). He also seemed to be telling Heyman that the promo was awesome after it was done.

Love little glimpses into the real people like that.

Heyman excels on the mic in every sense from his reinstating :fact to even selling the opponents; the way he enunciates Brock Lesnar can deter from his promos but his consistency in adding appeal to feuds is untouchable.

Agreed. I started getting that same reaction (it getting repetitive) and on Mondays RAW I didnt really think a whole lot about it until near the end when he went probably a minute or two longer then I thought he'd gone and continued to intensify it. His continued intensity definitely drags me in. As repetitive as RAW/SD is anyway, im definitely ok with Paul Heyman being repetitive. It beats watching R-Truth/Barrett 1000x (And I like both guys).

Agree.

Heyman is one of the best mic workers in the WWE and all of wrestling. But he has gotten repetitive. I started getting Wrestlemania 31 flashbacks since he is essentially selling this match too. I'd rather Taker and Brock face off in the same segments but I'll never change the channel while Heyman is on. Even though he's treading into stale territory, he still delivers his lines better than most.

He HAS been cutting the same promo for some time and most it was "meh. Heyman promo".

BUT- If you missed the last 30 seconds of that promo.... you missed some of the absolute greatest 30 seconds in promo history

In nomine Patris et Filii et Spiritus Sancti, AMEN! You will REST. IN. PIECES!

Like, Holy shit. Faith restored in Paul Heyman after that.

You could see, as he spoke the Latin and tied it into a corruption of Undertaker's own catchphrase, that Brock himself was really feeling the promo and this energy overtook the crowd where they wanted to applaud and cheer but were holding back to let him finish. It was electric.

Did he say anything he hadn't said numerous times before. I tend to daydream when he starts on one of his monotonous rambling monologues.
You basically record at least half of his promos from the past year, replay them and you wouldn't notice any difference.

It was great the first time I heard it... the fiftieth time sort of loses its edge

It was amazing, it was far from repetitive besides his good business like mentioning dates and times and BROCCCCKKK LESNAR, called out Undertaker for kicking Lesnar in the balls, called him a submissive little bitch when he comes up against Lesnar, finally mentioned that Undertaker has never beaten Lesnar in his entire career and Undertaker cannot live with himself as a result. Mentioned a backstage story of Taker calling Vince last year begging for a WM match but Vince turned down as he knew what would happen so Taker had to wait until now for his revenge and hyped it as the match too big for WM as a result . "Last time you left in an ambulance, were in hospital for a week, took a year to recover, he then give Undertaker the last rites in Latin and said he will rest in pieces, and his just sheer intensity was off the charts, it was just fantastic.

Who cares if the material is repetitive? His delivery and execution of what he wants to get across is still completely flawless. What else is Heyman supposed to do? His job is to sell the program that Brock Lesnar is currently involved in and to sell Lesnar as a beast, and whatever material he has to work with arises from that. Heyman is no more repetitive than any other manager who has to constantly sell their clients as being superior to their opponents.

He should just say "Ladies and..." and let the crowd say it.

At this point everyone should know the words :lol

Heyman is awesome though, its samey but he puts so much passion into it I have to listen.
