Should Rusev had hit Lana on Raw

While I still think Rusev can still have legs as despite the Cena losses. A part of me was thinking he was going to sidekick Lana's shit when she outted him for saying I Quit.

Plus with this super sensitive to domestic violence era what better way to reestablish that rusev is a brute than attacking a woman that cares for him. Plus they could possibly establish a new face to defend her.

No it's fucking idiotic way to establish heat, do you really think a man needs to hit a woman for our entertainment?

The problem is way too many fans actually fuking enjoy this sort of shit and that's exactly the reason a show shouldn't touch it any shape or form. Yes a realistic drama can go there but a wrestling show that's basically amoral no fuckin way.

I was gonna say, I am shocked he didn't. Generally women hit more than once, and the man grabs the arm.....

I don't know, I think are bombing it with Lana and Rusev. They had so much promise as a real couple. They still might.

I was hoping she would help Rusev turn from a man-beast into a legit competitor. Instead she just drives him more crazy and more beast like.

No. He should have beat the shit out of Ziggler though. Like the worst beatdown we've seen on TV in a long time and Dolph should have had to stay gone until Daniel Bryan is able to come back.

About 10 years ago he probably would have hit her. I don't think it's necessary or intelligent though. The sports world has too many domestic abuse situations going on in the media, it's the same with the concussions, it's better to stay away from it altogether.

WWE is primarily for children, domestic violence is too mature a topic for them right now.

It's better for Rusev's character to take out his aggression on Ziggler anyway and make Lana watch helplessly. I think thst more likely to draw real heat for him and sympathy for Ziggler and Lana.

The fact it's a real world sports problem is why I think they should have went with it. Especially since you can script a justice filled "Women beater gets ass handed to him" finale.

I mean if shitty Lifetime movies can handle domestic violence why can't WWE creative you know lol.

Ah yes the old emasculated man line.

The truth is violence by either sex to the other is wrong, but this is a wrestling show and we' re going to have to live with the fact it's not sophisticated enough to challenge those notions.

Personally I'd prefer they came at these issues in an intelligent manner and didn't ever resort to violence inter gender. But people's heads might explode at that idea.

She controlled the monster throughout their entire run, the monster turned on her after she stopped following their prime directive.

When was she ever subservient? Also, this not a ploy to make Rusev pissed the fuck off and get him back under her thumb?

What show you watching?

Also, beating on women would be stupid and expose parts of the audience who would pop for it like the people who popped for women getting beat up back in the ECW/Attitude era days.

That would have been a good idea to give people another reason to hate him and boo him. Right now he's sort of running out of reasons to be hated and I sadly feel he is going to get lost in the shuffle as just another generic guy somewhere in the low/mid card.

But this is 2015. Our society is way too PC for something like that nowadays. The days of putting the chicks through tables and whatnot is over. If he would have hit Lana the WWE would have hundreds of phone calls and whatnot whining about how a man hit a woman on a fake fighting tv show "in front of their children".

I'm not saying I like seeing guys hit women or anything. I'm a huge MMA fan and I am one of the biggest advocates against Ronda Rousey ever stepping foot in the ring with a man even though she is a legit badass fighter. I would just have a hard time seeing a man punch her in the mouth even if she wins. But wrestling is fake its not like Rusev would legitimately hurt Lana or anything its a live action play.

The annoying heel characters like Seth Rollins are what WWE has to do from now on. You can't book a heel as a legit real life asshole character who would slap a woman or something in the WWE. Way too many people would complain about it and once the complaining started then the stockholders and sponsors would notice and money would start getting lost. They would never let that happen.

Just face it, WWF/WWE has always technically been a show aimed at young males but the young males of today are different than the ones when "we" were young. Back then you could hit people with barbed wire bats while they bled all over the place, thumbtacks, powerbomb a chick through a table, have live sex celebrations, have bra and panties matches, put a gun to someones head and watch them piss themselves etc. And it was aimed at young males back then too ranging from pre teen to late 20s. But society itself has really clamped down on what it deems as "acceptable" for kids to see nowadays.

There is a limit to how "bad" somebody can actually be in the WWE before parents starting complaining about it. And that limit is pretty high sadly.

It'd be great if it wasn't for the sponsors likely getting their knickers in a knot. The last time a man hit a woman in WWE was in 2008, where Jericho smacked down HBK's wife Rebecca, and it was portrayed as the accident of all accidents where even the evil Jericho showed some remorse.

People saying it shouldn't happen, it's amoral, it's abhorrent, bla bla bla... of course it is, that's the fucking point. Rusev is a heel, he's supposed to do sick things. The general crowd will see it as a major dick move by Rusev, the only fans that would say it's the wrong thing to do company-wise are some of these forum posters, and like any of you guys would stop watching altogether.

I've said this before- I think on here- when it comes to male to female violence- the movie Kickass shows Hit Girl, a pre-teen girl, getting smacked around by grown men. In Australia, the movie is M15+, so I think the American equivalent might be TV-14? WWE drift into TV-14 content on occasion now, it's not as squeaky clean as the dire 2008-2012 WWE.

Controversy creates cash, was the saying. I think it still can, but the WWE corporate world is too scared to try. You think no one in WWE's demographic has played GTA or watched Game of Thrones?

Game of Thrones is on HBO and not USA, I doubt Psych or Burn Notice could get away with a female character getting beat down or fucked in the ass like the last Game of Thrones.

You can't equate a rated R movie to a TV show on cable. Or use a videogame that can only be sold to people over 18 to a free show on cable.

It's a TV program, not HBO or a movie or a videogame.

Personally, I think Lana should have attacked Rusev professionally, instead of romantically. Lana is a businesswoman and Lana and Rusev have never been portrayed as an on-screen couple. Lana is popular in large part due to her character. No reason to shift her into a typical, slutty diva.

So, I would change Lana's action and not Rusev's reaction.

That would have been Stephanie McMahon BITCH stuff, you building a face here. They went the right route FIRST, by having Lana express emotions towards Rusev HE comes off like the asshole, the heat is on HIM. Where you want it to be.

Now they did fuck up by putting her with Ziggler because it was too soon after her and Rusev's split but that Mom kiss she put on Dolph wasn't enough to say she's being a "slutty diva". That kiss was way too polite for that.

I could care less about what the sponsors or hypocrites like Nancy Grace think as I only care about what WWE views as artful, sports and entertainment. I do not get entertained from seeing a beautiful Woman who did nothing wrong get the sh!t beat out of her. When Lilian Garcia was accidentally knocked off the apron years ago, I viewed that as an accident and not many fans cared about it, but if Rusev hit Lana for any reason then people would be pissed.
