Anyone else notice his lisp has improved to the point that it is non-existent or no longer noticeable. Just a year ago it was clearly noticeable and there was a lot of discussion if it would hold him back in his career.
He definitely took speech lessons to correct it and would be very beneficial for someone like Jack Swagger, which I'm surprised hasn't happened by now for him.
So the question arises, would Jack Swagger be more successful if he didn't have a lisp? I believe he would be...
Not complaining at all. I believe he is one of the highest talented performers the wwe has had in a long time and it was awesome watching his progression in the last year or so.
His improving lisp is just an observation I had while watching him progress to the top of the wwe...
His lithp isn't as noticeable as Swagger's, but his voice and delivery are infinitely worse. Swagger covers up his speech impediment with his natural charisma and A+ delivery. Seth Rollins always looks like he's lost when he's cutting a promo.
I totally forgot he even had a lisp. I guess his was more fixable compare to guys like Swagger or Cody that still haven't been able to get round there lisps.
Yes, it truly is a tremendous achievement to get to the point where he has eliminated his lisp. I believe it is another example of his dedication and work ethics to continuously improve himself to become the top performer in this company compared to the other talent.
With promos/speech being such a large element to the overall performance of a wrestler, and some might argue more important than wrestling itself, it is surprising that other like Swagger and Cody haven't corrected theirs.
It really does distract from the impact of their promos...
But having a lisp add more to the character. In the case of Swagger is part of his gimmick, expecially in his WHC days. And a good part of Rollins heelness is his irksome voice and tone. "Jawwnnn", damn, that was great.
I don't know about his lisp, but his nasally voice distracts and annoys the sh^t out of me. I guess it turned out ok because he somehow made it work to his advantage as an obnoxious heel.
Yeah, Swagger's lisp is extremely noticeable. But Seth's? Didn't even know he had one until people on YouTube and WF started mentioning it and I still don't notice he ever had one.
Cody Rhodes may have a lisp but it doesn't really hurt his promo cutting abilities too much. He can cut a great promo by today's standards and has on multiple occasions.
No, why would I care about such superficial things? He's awesome, bad ass, and entertaining. I never even noticed he had one, nor would it matter in the least even if I did.
Brock Lesnar is probably the worst talker in the entire profession. Does that in any way take away from his bad assness? If you think it does - then you think such things matter. If not, then....

I and many others in this thread didn't even notice his supposed lisp so it goes to show how little it actually affects him. Cody counts too, as he still can cut a better promo then many guys on the roster lisp and all.
