I mean, the crowd didn't give a fuck about anybody in the match, not even Rollins.
But they stop doing whatever they were doing only to start booing Reigns, every move, every single thing he did was booed. They hate Reigns with passion- I don't know if this is a really bad thing because even if he isn't getting a baby face reaction, the crowd is into him.
Reigns is acting more like a tweener lately, i would say his character right now doesn't depend of the crowd anymore, but the crowd is ready to boo him regardless anything and above anything, i think this is good because if they showing passion towards him.
He is different to Cena, he doesn't come to the ring to pender the crowd and and cut a political speech, even if he's booed, i like how his character just don't give a fuck.
Oh lord not this "getting a reaction is all that matters" bullshit. He's supposed to be the number one babyface and he's getting booed out of the fucking arena. No, it's not a good thing.
They are booing him because they are not into him. I thought i read somewhere that he had gained the fans' respect last night? Sure didnt seem like it, did it?
You mean the most hardcore smarks in the world hate Reigns? WELL NO SHIT :cornette. Hilarious how people harp on RR and WM crowds as if they're the standard, then straight up ignore long strings of casual cities where he gets cheered.
Nope, that's vastly different. Heels can get cheered for quite a few reasons, including going against a face nobody likes (rings a bell ?) or simply being awesome at their jobs, by crowds that couldn't care less about kayfabe.
When a face is getting booed, it can only mean that he's actually doing bad. A good face vs even a "well-liked" heel would result in cheers for both.
I wouldn't say the fans didn't care. Ryback got a good reaction when he went for shellshocked.
People are still sour on Reigns push and possibly worried all roads lead to him soon enough anyway. It will take time or some change of direction to convince them otherwise or at least to wear off.
They are persisting with the forced babyface push though. Why i have no idea.
As long as he's in the midcard i don't give a fuck. I'd rather they did something different with him but if this is what they want i just don't care as long as he isn't main eventing.
Perfect night to turn him.

Gotta replace Cena fast. Seriously it's like Vince just woke up and realized he hasn't made any real stars (Punk and Bryan made themselves) in the last 10 years so he has to play catch-up.
I don't have the energy to hate Reigns, in fact I want to like him. He was awesome in The Shield and when they broke up I was actually looking forward to his singles push. But the problem is, WWE hasn't given me a single reason to give a fuck.
They actually have given more reasons to hate him, at this point the hardcore marks are going to hate him no matter what, so my point is they can use this hate better.
Yes, Reigns getting booed by hardcore smarks and mostly apathy in general is not a good thing, though I'm sure WWE will justify this as a way to call him "controversial" or something.
Maybe I'm an idiot for just realizing this now, but this whole time I thought they gave Bryan and Cena mid card titles to elevate those belts. The more I think about it though, did they do that just to get Reigns' two biggest M.E. babyface contenders out of the way, in an attempt to get the fans to go "well, it's either root for this guy or no one"? Not thinking they would ever consider rooting for heels, which they've done with Rollins and Lesnar.
No, they hate Vince's "face of the company" philosophy. Vince is trying to place Roman Reigns in the top spot, but after a decade of John Cena, fans are simply hostile to the very notion of a top spot. And they're protesting it by booing the heir apparent. What these fans want is for WWE to diversify their investments instead of putting it all on one guy. They want some variety. Problem is, those fans are at odds with an important demographic, kids and their casual parents, who want one hero with a supporting cast surrounding him.
I agree with most of this except the part where fans want WWE to diversify their investment all on one guy. If you look at Reigns or Cena's in ring work, is it really that much worse than the likes of Ziggler or Ambrose? They want to choose that one guy instead of WWE choosing a similarly capable guy.
Faces getting boo's is a bad thing, they are meant to be fan favourites, remember?
