Back on Monday during Paul's promo he had this line: "At WWE fastlane you all bought into the fantasy of Daniel Bryan. The ultimate underdog. You had all these hopes and fantasies". What was the point of that? How is bringing up the fact that Bryan is "the ultimate underdog" and the crowd had hoped he would win productive in any way? Whether it was Paul himself or WWE creative their jobs right now is to get Roman over and bringing up Bryan like that will just make the crowd hate Reigns more. So what was the point of that?
Because he was recapping what happened at Fastlane?
What was he supposed to say Reigns did at Fastlane if not mention his ridiculous, CLEAN win over Daniel Bryan.
If you're going to make Reigns looks strong, book him against HHH and have him win clean over HIM.
You don't bury another up and coming guy to make him looks strong.
But, of course, HHH is going to beat Sting at Mania, so he's not about to lie down for Reigns right before that. He has to make sure he looks strong, because that's so important for a guy that wrestles once a year at most.
First of all Bryan is not an up and coming guy. He has main evented Wrestlemania and won the title 3 times, he has already peaked. You cannot be an up and comer when you've already been to the moon.
Reigns already beat Triple H twice as part of Evolution less than a year ago. You don't put a guy in a feud that last from November to March then have him lose in February, that's fucking retarded.
Paul's trying to get the hardcore fans to be anti-Heyman & anti-Brock so that Reigns doesn't get unmercifully booed on WM weekend. Rubbing salt in DB fans' wound is what they think will do the trick (it won't work).
Yeah, Brock's just too much better in the ring than Reigns. At the end of the day, as much as Vince tries to pretend the wrestling doesn't matter, it's still the part the fans like the most. A guy like Lesnar will always get cheered because he's just so good. And booking a face against him who can't wrestle will only result in getting the opposite reaction from what you want from the crowd.
Maybe I'm into conspiracies, but my theory both Seth and Bryan are mentioned here and there incase WWE panics and goes Triple Threat, Four Ways, Brock walks out, etc.
It is still kinda teasing a Bryan/Lesnar altercation which makes no sense at this point. Yet another of WWE's bad decisions in the booking of the main event of this year's Mania. The focus should be all on Reigns and Lesnar at this point.
I think there is something to this...keeping their options open as it were. How else do you explain 3 weeks out from Mania and nothing being finalized for Seth or Bryan really? Yes, I know about Bryan and Smackdown but unless they subtract someone or make it an 8-way (Which WWE has refuted) they are 1 man too many currently.
Because WWE are desperately trying to find reasons to put Bryann in the main event at WrestleMania 31. They are hoping to re-create the Yes Movement but it isn't working.

1. Bryan will not main event this year, not even a 1% chance of this happening.
2. The yes movement is still well and fine so don't you worry about it.
Like an earlier poster said, it is just a conspiracy theory, but I think the WWE is keeping Bryan and Rollins clear yet for Mania in case they need a plan B
Maybe he brought Bryan to draw heel from the crowd? :draper2
I mean...he's not a babyface, and normally heels take shots at the crowd from time to time.
I think they're keeping that options open with Rollins and Bryan and they're going to wait until last minute to book them, just like they did with Rollins and Ziggler at Fastlane.
Reminding fans that the most beloved babyface isn't main eventing WrestleMania = cheap and easy heat in an attempt to rile up the crowd. Although all this does is remind fans that Reigns beat Bryan and is going to the WM ME. Was Heyman trying to get Reigns heat? :bosh2
Also probably just Vince wanting to give another "fuck you" to the fans by bringing it up.
They booed pretty hard when he used Bryan as the proxy to defend Lesnar's dominance but 5 seconds later, he mentioned Reigns and the entire crowd booed real hard...so it was all for nothing.
