On top of the chants, he got a lukewarm reaction the first time he came out and complete silence the 2nd time. When does Vince smarten up and pull the plug on the failed Roman Reigns experiment?
At the end of the day he's been given the push and that's that, there's no other two cents about it. However what he does with the push is down to his selling. The creative team may do a shocking job/put him in positions he doesn't want to do but at the end of the day he gets paid to do his job of what he's told. The "Mizdow" gimmick if you take a step back should be absolutely dreadful and horrendous, but the fact that he's put all his effort into it and playing it perfectly, everyones loving it.
It's all about what he can do when he's got the ball given to him. Over the next 6 months we'll really see what's he made of and if he's going to make it. There's only so much pushing they can do before they realize he isn't going to be one of the top dogs that they wanted.
Nothing against the man but his mic work is dreadful and the limited move set of his really stops him from excelling. But hey he may turn it around, like someone mentioned earlier he's half way there now, the rest is down to him.
Y'all better start some vodoo so he gets those Kevin Nash quads soon.
I think they'll give him the title before pulling the plug. It's obvious that the current direction and circumstance don't make Undertaker's broken streak worthwhile.
WWE has pushed other wrestlers incessantly before to the top; however, Reigns as a main eventer feels the least organic. I feel like Roman maineventing Wrestlemania against Brock is like Flo the Progressive Girl winning the Divas Championship from Charlotte.
I don't care if it were the "smarks" in the crowd or whatever, the supposed face of the company (Cena) and the hand picked future of the company (Reigns) should NOT be getting such mixed reactions. It just looks awful.
I wonder if there is a smark brave enough to actually do something about their hatred for Reigns. Such as attacking him in the ring or striking him when he makes his entrance. For a guy that's so hated you would think he would be nervous to walk through the crowd or just stop doing it.
Reigns will not have the rug pulled out from underneath his feet. Vince will keep going and going until it works. Even if Reigns only gets over with the kids then he has the Samoan Cena lined up for when
Wrestling News World said that ticket sales for WM are up since the main event of Reigns/Lesnar was set, and sales as a whole are slightly up from last year. I know this won't satisfy the "SHOW ME THE BREAKDOWNS!!" fans, but it is what it is, and I'd imagine if things were reversed, DB fans would be talking about how DB is just a better draw than Reigns, yada yada yada.
The outspoken fans generally aren't the majority, so I doubt that Vince is too worried about these chants (as we've seen, Cena is still in the highest viewed hour of Raw even in a mid-card feud, and people are more vocal about him "sucking" and "not being able to wrestle" than they are Reigns). Only time will tell, and maybe it'll all blow up in Vince's face, but I don't think that it's a foregone conclusion at this point.
That was completely different. Heyman just showed up one night and said he was now managing Cesaro with no build up whatsoever. Not to mention he was still representing Lesnar at a time where the fans wanted to cheer Cesaro and they had no idea what to think or how to react. I couldn't have booked Cesaro worse at that time if I tried.
At first I was hoping that the WM crowd would give Roman a chance to put on a good match, but the product has been so god damn bad on every single level as of late that I hope the crowd just ruthlessly obliterates the entire show.
The company needs a wake up call. Last year should have been just that, but clearly it wasn't as the product just keeps getting worse.
imo it's been stale for a while. they have talent but can't make decent storylines to put it together and plays favorites too much.
