There was no point. It was one of those feuds that just happened because of no long term planning. Which is a shame, because they could've made a shit load of money off of a long-term feud between the two with Punk eventually vanquishing HHH and going over.

That's how I feel as well. Rushing Punk back was one of the worst decisions that year.

Summerslam 2011's main event was just a poor MITB clone. People even forget Del Rio had his 'big' cash in that night as well (Only to lose the title to Cena at the next PPV anyway).

What did any of this achieve? Nothing.

To get that up and coming go getter Triple H over, of course.

Was supposed to be Punk/Nash. Nash was on some kind of meds that he couldn't wrestle with. They hotshotted it to Trips/Punk. Storyline didn't make much sense after that. NASH TEXTED NASH.

Despite that storyline going down the shitter, I'll take literally anything over a Kevin Nash match these days.

Re: What was the point of the Triple H/CM Punk fued again?

Trips felt emasculated in the bedroom, having to play Mr. Gimp for Steph, so he went over the hottest star in the WWE at that time for a little ego-boost.

Re: What was the point of the Triple H/CM Punk fued again?

One user covered why if Punk would've at least continued the feud with HHH, and not turn him into a smiling waving baby face and actually continue to feud against the company it would've been nice, but it was kinda the downfall from there.

HHH could've let Punk over. There, he beat a legend for his big summer run. Hell, if not that, have HHH beat Punk by how many run ins. Fine. Have Punk fight against Miz and R-Truth. HHH could come out and save him, but Punk should've just shoved Triple H from there. Instead, he played nice and became the Corporate guy. Supported HHH when half the company walked out on him. He should've came back with a harsher attitude saying "I only came back for my love for wrestling. NOT because of you and your shitty work as the CEO."

They could've turned Punk into something truly great if they didn't have him turn into the Corporate supporter right after that loss. Bunch of shit, honestly. Still enjoyed Summer Of Punk though.
Honestly, I could go on a bigger rant even bringing Dwayne into it why I feel one of them, between Rock and HHH should've taken at least let Punk over them once, but whatever. Spotlight lovers will be spotlight lovers.

ABrown AND ChampviaDQ made my god-tier signature. Once again, always quality work done by two of the GFX lords. Thanks again.

To clarify, my all time favorite will always be CM Punk.
