He wasn't comparing them directly: he was saying that Taker vs Train/Show should have been terrible but was actually OK, whereas Taker vs HHH, which should have been a great match, was poorly executed.

Brock Lesnar Vs Angle was a horrible match, just proof that the IWC are suckers for high spots like the Shooting Star Press.

Wm 17 on the other hand is the most overrated ppv of all time.

Taker vs HHH was a great match. As time passed it was overshadowed by Taker's amazing performances and obviously the rematches at WM27 and 28, but at the moment lived to the expectations. And the finish was sick. The streak was barely mentioned during those days and was less predictable. Many people thought Taker was going to lose when he got hit with the sledgehammer when he was about to do the Last Ride. The finish with Taker countering the turnbuckle punches with the Last Ride was the first time done. It had a good build up and was Taker's first WM match as the ABA. In fact this match is highly underrated. Poorly executed? lol No way.

Taker vs Show and/Train was supposed to be a stupid tag team match with that MMA fighter. It was cancelled at the last moment and ended up being a non-sense handicap match nobody actually cared. "It was supposed to be terrible, but it was ok". I would say it wasn't terrible, but it was really bad. Easely one of the most anticlimatic and least meaningful matches of the streak.

You probably haven't even watched the match. "High spots" just because of that damn botched SSP? So out of a 20+ minute match, the only way to describe it is a "high spot" match because of one move? Quite the contrary, most of the match featured a bunch of mat-holds because Angle's neck was in bad shape. The SSP was supposed to be the finish to make it stand out from other Brock matches since it's Wrestlemania.

I do agree with it being overrated, though. Ironman and SummerSlam are far superior Brock/Angle matches.

Meh I guess I was expecting that match to be at least a bit better than it was. Wasn't expecting a classic but felt it was just bad all around. Worse than it should have been

Each to their own with the HHH/Taker 17 match though the only downside of that match was the extended ref bump was crazy unrealistic but I don't think it took away from the match too much.

Wrestlemania 19 didn't sell well and isn't well known, but is definitely a hidden gem. Best of all time? Nah. Top 3 or 5 Wrestlemanias of all time, definitely.

The "High Spot" was the the only memorable moment in what was a borefest of a match. Its been years since ive watched this match anyway but I also can remember being uncomfortable due to that horrendous botch where Angle fell on his neck.

I'm not "comparing" anything here, I'm saying that I don't understand why people hate the Taker vs Show/Train match when it definitely turned out much better than it should have, but for some strange reason praise HHH/Taker when it was a lot worse than it should have been.

Huh? You think people liked the match because of a botched spot? I don't understand your logic here.

And even then that isn't even close to the reason as to why people liked it. Good lord.

There were a lot of great spots in that match, but judging by what you're saying here it sounds like you're one of those people who are suckers for high flying spots, which is odd considering how you were just criticizing people before for being like that. I strongly suggest you go back and re watch the match.

And what spot are you referring to in regards to Angle "falling" on his neck?

You're living in a fantasy world. If you genuinely, truly believe that Jericho/Regal, the hardcore title match, and Benoit/Angle were better than Rock/Austin III, you're simply off the reservation.

Probably the one when Lesnar kicked Angle to counter the Ankle Lock and Angle almost landed on his head when taking a back bump.
