I came to that conclusion because I was being rhetorical. Seriously I know it's over the internet but how did you think I was being serious there?

No offense, but it's hard to tell when it comes to a Punk mark.

I'm not a Punk mark. I've already established this. I'm more of a Flair or Bryan mark.

It's nice to see this is the highest point your logic can reach to. Now I don't have to expect much out of your from here on out, so there won't be much facepalming.

Wrestlemania XIX is also my favorite, slightly ahead of X-Seven. The event had arguably the most decked out roster WWE has ever had at a Wrestlemania, and basically every match delivered in a huge way. People often forget that the card was stacked from top to bottom, where as X-Seven, while had it's incredible highs (Austin/Rock, TLC 2, Shance/Vince), also had it's lows (RTC/APA & Tazz, Benoit/Angle...which was a dud compared to their later work, and Eddie/Test).

XIX however was stacked top to bottom, with even matches like Taker vs. Show/A-Train (vastly underrated match IMO) and tag team turmoil pulling their weight. The obvious heavy hitters of Lesnar/Angle, Rock/Austin III, Vince/Hogan but especially HBK/Y2J just push it over the edge and make for a card that really can't be rivaled.

I will not argue that the main event of XIX was bigger than X-Seven, because it simply wasn't. Wrestling was at it's absolute climax, and Austin and Rock were the two biggest stars. X-Seven was the pinicle and culmination of the Attitude Era, and for that it definitely holds its own special place in the legacy of the grand stage. But when you look at the start to finish quality and match by match breakdown, XIX has the edge as it simply had more to offer.

As great as it was though, I believe with a few changes, it could have put it over the top and left no room for debate as to what is the greatest Wrestlemania of all time. See my rebooking of XIX below:

WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP
Brock Lesnar (RR) vs. Triple H (c)(w. Ric Flair)
Winner: Brock Lesnar

ONE LAST TIME
The Rock vs. "Stone Cold" Steve Austin
Winner: The Rock

WWE CHAMPIONSHIP
Kurt Angle(c) vs. Chris Benoit
Winner: Kurt Angle

STREET FIGHT
Hulk Hogan vs. Vince McMahon

GRUDGE MATCH
Shawn Michaels vs. Chris Jericho

HANDICAP MATCH
Undertaker vs. Big Show & A-Train

WOMEN'S CHAMPIONSHIP
Trish Stratus vs. Victoria(c) vs. Jazz
Winner: Trish Stratus

WWE AND WORLD TAG TITLES: 4 CORNERS TAG MATCH
Team Angle(c) vs. Kane & RVD(c) vs. Los Guerreros vs. Booker T & Rhyno
Winners: Kane & RVD

CRUISERWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP
Matt Hardy(c) vs. Rey Mysterio
WInner: Rey Mysterio

Underrated? A match against a jobber that couldn't use every single push he's been given in his lifetime and was shouted by the crowds to shave his back is underrated?

Taker's match defines the place of WM19 below WM17 IMO. It was a really bad booked match for the biggest legend in WM history.

Yeah I don't see how you can defend that Taker match. Was pretty bottom of the barrel.

Your post is ridiculous. A-Train/Albert's inability to get over isn't relevant to the quality of the match he had with The Undertaker at WM XIX, and you also seem to forget that Big Show was part of the match too. Not that I'm saying that it was a good match! It was average at best. But people go on about it like it was a total shitfest, which it wasn't. It was an underwhelming but watchable match, not bad enough to really harm the show, but not good enough to lift it either. I think if I was to rebook the card, like No Leaf Clover has done, I would have changed the match-up rather than keep it in, but the amount of hate it gets is unwarranted, and the match is, therefore, validly considered 'underrated'.

Because considering how little potential the match itself had, it still ended up turning out okay. I don't understand how this match gets so much hate, and yet HHH/Taker from WM 17, which imo was a poorly done match, gets so much undeserved praise.

I can't believe you are comparing Taker vs HHH with Taker vs Show/Train.

Taker vs HHH was considered Taker's best WM match at the moment just behind the one against Kane at WM14.
