Mania 19 is probably the 3rd best Mania in my eyes behind Mania 17 at 1st and Mania 24 which is a Mania that A LOT of people seem to underrate. As a whole I feel Mania 17 not only had the overall better matches but told the better story match to match. The only thing Mania 19 takes the cake in is probably pure wrestling.
Both PPVs has its weak points though. I don't get how the OP can say the handicap match at Mania 19 was any good, Was one of Takers worst Mania matches in years. Booker/Haitch Also wasn't amazing. Wasn't bad either though then off course you had the miller lite catfight. Obviously 17 had the Gimmick battle royal but then was that ever supposed to be anything more than just Nostaligia? The 6 man tag served its purpose to get the Texas crowd pumped and so the women's title match was probably the one match that really under delivered when you consider the story going into that match.
In terms of the undercard
Mania 17: Hardcore triple threat, Regal/Jericho, Angle/Benoit, Ivory/Chyna, 6 man tag, Battle Royal and Eddie/Test
Mania 19: Hardy/Mysterio, Tag triple threat, divas triple threat, Handicap
Yeah I'd give the edge to 17
In terms of upper and main event side of things
Mania 17: HHH/Taker, TLC II, Shane/Vince and Rock/Austin
Mania 19: HHH/Booker, Austin/Rock, Hogan/Vince, Jericho/HBK, Angle/Lesnar
Honestly I'd say 19 possibly has the slight advantage with Haitch/Booker bringing it down.
Throw in atmosphere, build, importance in going forward and crowd involving I'd say 17 has to take the cake

And that match was anything but filler. Unfortunately, circumstances stopped Booker from getting anywhere at that point, but at the time they had pretty big plans for him.
I love Lesnar to bits and always have but I'd defo say Benoit and Michaels as worst were above him. He defo is better than Jericho though
