Triple H has been trying to make a name for himself by inking “impossible” deals, with obviously his biggest to date being Bruno Sammartino agreeing to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. It's now come to light that Hunter has already got a backup plan for WM30 that if Rock doesn’t come back to wrestle Lesnar, he’ll finally get a deal done with Austin and it would be just as big, if not bigger.
One observer commented this could be a more than desirable backup plan given the fact The Rock has worked two WrestleMania’s in a row and “one last match” for Steve Austin would be a huge spectacle. It's also not the match Austin wants so it would take an awful lot from Triple H to get Austin to agree to terms. I'd say it's no better than a 50/50 chance as of this writing.
50/50, eh? So in other word "it will either happen, or it won't"? Absolutely worthless article, the stereotypical "dirtsheet", where they make some vague speculation about something, pretend they have a source, then back up their words by saying "it might happen, or it might not", meaning they don't actually know anything.
Trips should just let old ties die already. Taking a look at the current product, character development more specifically would be the best case, then he would realize why Manias these days don't survive without established, part timers.
LOL, WWE is so horrible now. Every year they're relying on people who've been gone for a decade, to carry Wrestlemania. Remember in the past where guys like that came back in small supporting roles. Like Bob Backlund at WM 9, wrestled a midcard match with Razor Ramon. Or Terry Funk in the late 90s with Foley and New Age Outlawz.
They had their OWN stars in the main spots. Now? They don't have any of their own stars because they don't know how to build them.
Forget Rock and Austin. They are done. HHH is done. The Taker spectacle is cool because it kind've exists in it's own world, so keep that going as long as you can. But the main events? Those need to be turned over to your own guys......Punk, Bryan, Ziggler, guys like that. Give them a shot. Being stuck in 1999 does no good for anyone.
I don't believe the report, but I'd be fine with it if it did happen. Austin/Lesnar at WM30, Austin goes over, competes at Summerslam against Ryback, Sheamus at Survivor Series, gives them a big rub and then puts over Punk at Wrestlemania 31.
OH HELL YEAH! :austin If theirs one guy who would be a suitable replacement for Rock it's Austin.
Yeah similar to Rock, their's no value in bringing in a legend like Austin and jobbing them out straight away, it might surprise people but a lot of these kids probably didn't know who the fuck Rock was prior to his return.
Bring Austin back for a swansong hero's welcome at WrestleMania 30 by defeating the monster Brock, and put over Punk at WrestleMania 31.
JESUS! First The Rock, now Austin. You get a LEGEND and you put him in a weak, stale and boring weekly show. This is just stupid. Don't do it Austin, keep your aura immortal.. Since i started skipping The Rock's promos i'm aware that it's going to be the same with Austin. You just can't push your Attitude era stars/characters to the limit in this PG crap product. fpalm
I dont want Austin to be back at WM 30. It would be overshadowed by Cena/Taker. Also, Austin/HHH does not sound like a good match, and Austin/Lesnar sounds like a death sentence for Austin.
first everything is 50 50 its either it happens or it doesn't as for Austin not wanting to face Brock of course he doesn't. 1 because its not who he wants to face we all know its punk and 2 i think Austin would much rather work with someone safer in the ring. Also just throwing out there u think HHH doesn't want Austin to face Punk because HHH doesn't want Punk in a big time match like that? Just wondering
Austin wants to face Punk and we all know it i dont get why HHH and Vince cant give us Punk vs Austin why does it have to be Cena vs Austin come on. Austin vs Punk and Taker vs Cena those are the matches we want to see
Austin vs. Punk is really the only match I want to see at Wrestlemania 30, not Austin vs. Lesnar. If Austin feels like he can wrestle more than one match, then Austin vs. Lesnar could happen at Summerslam, or Wrestlemania 31. However, I think Austin should return for one more match only, against Punk at Wrestlemania 30, if he can. Just keep it to one more match, and that's it.
