That rings true for any big city, though. A few blocks this way or that way you are in a world of shit whether that be in New Orleans, New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, or Miami. There are safe parts of the city and they are heavy tourist attractions. As the above user stated, if you stay in the French Quarter you are literally walking distance away from anything you might want to see or do. That being said, unless you plan on paying an arm and a leg for a nice hotel, consider staying in Jefferson Parish and you are literally 15 minutes away from downtown by Interstate.

If the crime rate had any effect on big events coming here, then we wouldn't have gotten the Super Bowl last year or the Final Four not too long ago. Most of the crime you hear about is condensed in certain neighborhoods.

The French Quarter is within a mile of the Superdome according to Google maps, so you might not even need to leave that area if you choose to lodge close to the venue.

Also adjacent to the Superdome is the New Orleans Arena, which is potentially where they will hold Raw and the HoF.

Just to get an idea of potential journey times and prices I've been looking at SkyScanner for flights in March next year (April isn't fully available to view just yet).

It's possible to get from Heathrow to New Orleans in 12hrs 41 mins, and vice versa in 11hrs 10mins for 534.08 via Air Canada, which doesn't seem too bad. Only problem I can see is that the connection in Houston on the way back gives you just 53 minutes to change planes.

I definately wouldn't risk this, although it's a domestic flight so you shouldn't have to bother with passport control but I have no idea. I wouldn't do it.

Theres no direct flights from the UK to New Orleans. Most of them go via NY or Atlanta

So we are looking at at least 12 hours of travelling
wasn't the hotel pennsylvania was it?! what a dump and I checked for bed bugs the place was so dirty

I have a feeling in 10 years time, UK fans will dominate US fans in the wrestling audience in terms of culture. It's because you people shamelessly inject wrestling into your mainstream culture (true, Americans may do this as well but there's a hint of shame when wrestling is being mentioned), now that is something.

Me and 2 mates went to WM28 and 29. We all decided that as its cost us so much for the 2, that we weren't gonna go next year. Until Delta moved us from our original flights coming back from NYC and gave us $600 each to spend on flights within a year! So thanks to Delta we said we might as well go again next year!! Roll on New Orleans!

Christ your flights will only cost you about 200. Delta suck though, they've stopped a load of flights from the UK we were on their last London-Miami flight last year.

I hope New Orleans is good.
