Im gonna be there live I'll be cheering for Punk all the way. Im curious what kind of match we'll get though, will it be a chair shot mania like last years Taker vs HHH match or will there be tons of interference to help Punk or will it just be the 2 of them putting on a wrestling match with emotion and storytelling. Hope it doesnt disappoint.

But Mania x8 was built only around that match so i dont understand that example
But the best match is almost never the last match on a PPV. Steal the show seems like a worthless title people give a match they felt shouldve gone last

The difference is, this match doesn't have VALUE. The best performer in the company should have the best spot on the card. His career isn't complete until he's gotten a WrestleMania main event. He has nothing left to do expect get to the highest peak of the highest mountain, and he can't. That's why I refuse to buy this event, it's a slap in the face to put him in a position he's already been in (and by that, I don't mean facing Taker, I mean in a so called "co" main event that really isn't a main event).
I mean, fuck, look at what the story of this match is. Punk isn't good enough to have the main event, so he has to face Taker as a fallback. That's what they portrayed this match as. WHO FUCKING CARES?

Tyrion, I have a question for you. Say Punk ended the streak at WM29, Would you still want him to main event a Wrestlemania?

What kind of logic is this? So if we go buy what you're saying Orton/HHH has more value than Taker/Michaels at WrestleMania 25. We obviously know that isn't true because while one match closed the show, it left people terribly underwhelmed. The other match is reveled as one of the greatest performances in the history of the business and the main thing talked about today and for years to come. I'm saying the same will necessarily happen again, but if you believe Punk is the best performer in the company this spot with UNDERTAKER & THE STREAK at WrestleMania is one hell of a position to showcase his talents and deliver a performance that will talked about for years down the line. Sure it's not closing the show but that isn't the end all, be all of everything. Just look at Undertaker's career and he's an ultimate legend among legends.

No one is doubting Punk's ability to deliver so don't change the subject. You still rant and rave about what's good for Punk when simply facing the Undertaker is what's going to give that match value. You're like the Rock/Austin marks who talk Ratings except substitute "ratings" for "closing the show". It's starting to get old.
