Best match at each of the "Big 4" PPV events
Thought this would be cool. As we know the big 4 is wrestlemania, royal rumble, summerslam and survivor series. Name the best match to take place at each event in company history. You can also add a close 2nd
WRESTLEMANIA: Shawn Michaels vs The Undertaker WM 25. *****.
Close 2 nd would be Austin/Rock WM 17.
ROYAL RUMBLE: Kurt Angle vs Chris Benoit RR 2003. *****.
Close 2 nd would be Benoit/Jericho ladder match 01
SUMMERSLAM: HHH vs Shawn Michaels SS 2002. ****1/2.
Bret hart/bulldog was a very close 2 nd
SURVIVOR SERIES: HHH vs HBK vs kane vs Chris Jericho vs rvd vs booker t elimination chamber. ****1/4.
Close 2 nd would be Bret/HBK 97.

Runner Up: Randy Savage vs Ricky Steamboat (WM III)
Royal Rumble:
Kurt Angle vs [REDACTED] (RR 2003)
Runner Up: Chris Jericho vs [REDACTED] (RR 2001)
Summerslam:
HHH vs Shawn Michaels (SS 2002)
Runner Up: TLC II: Dudley Boyz vs Hardy Boyz vs Edge & Christian (SS 2000)
Survivor Series:
Elimination Chamber (SS 2002)
Runner Up: Bret Hart vs Shawn Michaels (SS 1997)
On reflection, Rumble, Summerslam (except for the excellent SS 2002) and Survivor Series really don't have that many strong matches.

That's basically the same as mine. I did give some thought to Rock/Mankind I quit Match at the '99 Rumble. However, it's hard to watch that knowing what shots to the head can do to someone. |
