this year's elimination chamber ppv really seems stupid considering the match the ppv is named after is determining the top contender to the #2 title in the company. i say it should be replaced with a ppv titled "the road to wrestlemania." the whole point of the ppv would be to build towards wrestlemania and eliminate the necessity of having to have a gimmick match like the elimination chamber. i personally think elimination chamber would be better for after wrestlemania to finish some feuds and start new ones.

I think they should just do the chamber at Survivor Series.

Do we even really need a PPV between the Rumble and WM?

I agree... Not a fan of the EC ppv.

I dislike the fact that they theme PPVs around these types of gimmick matches - especially Elimination Chamber & Hell In A Cell. They should be using those stipulations as ways to blow off a feud... they've devalued the importance of these matches by pidgeon-holing storylines to line up with these PPVs and very few of them have been meaningful. I don't mind Money In The Bank as its own PPV though, since that's a chance to elevate someone and FURTHER a story.

It's the reason I would really like to see the Cena/Ryback/Sheamus vs. The Shield to be in the EC as a War Games style match - it elevates the importance of the Chamber match so that it can be a type of feud blow-off match. They have a chance to do something unique here, but it looks like they've made it a standard tag...

Elimination Chamber only works if there are actual Elimination Chamber matches, it looks like there will be only 1 and its not even for a title so I think the PPV's name is really unneeded. There should be at least 2 or 3 matches using the Chamber, if there is only going to be one match than the PPV should be called something else.

Agree that the Chamber should become a staple of Survivor Series. It just fits the overall theme of the event so perfectly.

And I don't understand why we need another Del Rio/Show match. Can't they just be two of the guys in the chamber if they want to continue the feud?

the idea of elimination chamber settling feuds is a good one. sometimes less is more, and i think this is one of those cases

The Survivor Series format has been dying for a while, they may as well just get rid of the EC PPV and hold at least 1 chamber match at SS, there's no problem with having another chamber match at a different point in the year either.

ive said it before, switch elimination back a month to jan and the rumble to feb. The road to wrestlemania is far too long as the matchups become predictable after the rumble and ec becomes a filler ppv.
