Re: John Cena, Ryback, & Sheamus vs. The Shield
The finish is gonna be really hokey. The only person I could see eating a pin is Sheamus.. Can't see Cena/Ryback or the Shield getting pinned. It would just be counter intuitive.

Talent up and down the roster? If you wanna watch Nexus members these days don't miss Saturday Morning Slam or go to a local indie show to see a few of the Nexus members. NONE of them are major players in the WWE at this point except Skip Sheffield who you may know as Ryback because he couldn't get over due in large part to the shitty Skip Sheffield character. Ryan Reeves didn't see any large scale success until he was re-packaged with an entirely new gimmick after he got injured and Nexus got a swift kick in the gut by creative. They got destroyed by Cena and promptly rolled over and died.
How was that good booking? how did it elevate any of the talent to ME success like it could've? Ryan Reeves success also had nothing to do with the nexus storyline, it's a completely separate character that could've entered the WWE Universe at anytime because he has nothing to do with the Skip Sheffield character. I want to see Ambrose or Rollins be a ME caliber guy by the time The shield runs it's course. If they book it like Nexus.. that's actually one of the worst thing that could happen.

Thanks for the history lesson...but I follow the product.
All of those guys were nobodies prior to Nexus. That was three years ago and they're all still working at various level on the card. They've been established to some degree.
There's no need to cry when booking doesn't go your way. Don't worry all three of these guys will be around for years to come barring some unforeseeable circumstances.

Hoping that the WWE doesn't blow a major angle is far from crying. I stated all my concerns with the booking and gave historical parallel's to support the logic that I'm following. I don't think people realize what a turning point this will ultimately be for the direction the WWE goes in with The Shield. ESPECIALLY because it's a month before Mania. That's why I'm so on edge about how it's booked.

Re: John Cena, Ryback, & Sheamus vs. The Shield
I'm glad you're excited and invested in the show. There are lots of potential reasons to book this match in a slew of different ways and that's part of what makes pro-wrestling so great. But you can't lose heart in the product because an angle doesn't go the way you had hoped.
Take for example Dean Ambrose. Do you honestly believe this guy is going to disappear into obscurity should the Shield get demolished by the Superfriends this weekend?

I agree, he won't just disappear. The cream always rises to the top as they say but I think The Shield is the perfect platform for Ambrose to cement himself as ME caliber talent once they are ready to split. I would like to see them execute this angle with more success then they did Nexus and show that creative is learning from their mistakes. At least we don't have much more speculation to do and we can just see how the WWE books this thing. This is the focal point of the card more then Rock-Punk to me.. just has more mystery to it.

Re: John Cena, Ryback, & Sheamus vs. The Shield
The longer I think about this, the more I think there's no way Cena doesn't pin one of the Shield members unless the Rock is behind the shield, which has about a 2 percent chance of happening.
I guess WWE could do it as a desperation move to make Rock heel and get as few people to boo Cena at Wrestlemania as possible, but I don't think even that would work.
There's really no room for the Cena/Ryback/Sheamus-Shield feud to last past Elimination Chamber, with the participants going their separate ways for Wrestlemania. And WWE will want SuperCena to look as strong as possible before taking the title off Rock.

Re: John Cena, Ryback, & Sheamus vs. The Shield
The match to me is going to end after all 3 have been put in a finisher. Sheamus with the white noise on someone, Ryback will have someone up for Shell Shock and Cena will hit the AA on someone, all 3 will be hit at the same time and whoever is the legal man will be pinned. If not, it'll be a real screwy finish.
