Re: If Shield get beat clean at EC..

Heels only lose clean, so I guess you will be quitting . Can't see Cena losing going in to Wrestlemania. Lets hope WWE gives us a surprise and somehow The Sheild win.

Re: If Shield get beat clean at EC..

Now that I had some time to think about it I think the WWE will do something like this.

Shield get's some spots in, face team comes roaring back (hot tag/finisher), face team goes for the winning pin, lights go out, lights back on, Lesnar is there and a giant brawl breaks out, ref calling for the bell, Shield lose via DQ but they still keep their heat. Best way not to take the air out of either side before Mania and it sets up Paul Heyman coming out on RAW explaining how he has to protect his investments and if your messing with the Shield, your also messing with Brock Lesnar!

Anything in that realm would be great

Re: If Shield get beat clean at EC..

then stop watching. If you can't expect the fact that the bad guys are going to lose, and lose clean, every once in a while, then you should really leave. Some people need to realize that at the end of the day, they are meant to be the 'bad guys', they can't keep winning forever. That will make casuals lose interest in even wanting to see them lose, and the casuals need their occasional feel good moment when the good guys get back at the bad guys. What have the Shield been doing the past few months? beating up everyone in their path, winning the TLC match, costing people their matches. It's leading up to a loss at Elimination Chamber so the good guys finally have something on their side. It's the booking after that matters, not the win or loss. A win here is completely pointless for the Shield. Now go figure.

But it just depends on how they lose. If they lose like how CamillePunk says then im pretty sure death threats will be sent, millions of threads will be made and maybe a possible overdose could occur. But I see them losing a tough fight because having them squashed wohld help noone. Hell theres a possibility of them winning because the Super team winning is kinda to predictable. But then again so was Cena at the rumble and he still won
I figure it being their second match, WWE will find some way for them to escape without losing, whether it be not being pinned, or getting a win with help. The only reason I think they'll probably take a loss is because Ryback hasn't won a single major PPV match yet.

Yes that's right, these guys are going to be complete has-beens if this one match doesn't end in a victory.

Re: If Shield get beat clean at EC..

Come to think of it it's really likely they'll win the tag titles at WrestleMania.

They were probably meant to win it earlier but for some reason didn't want to continue the Cena v Ziggler feud (probably because they wanted Cena to have a superman 2013 and wanted Ziggler to come out on top of the feud in total).

Re: If Shield get beat clean at EC..

I think WWE learned from the Nexus/Corre storylines that they have to give Shield wins over top-tier talent.

My guess is Shield gets a new member on Sunday.

Re: John Cena, Ryback, & Sheamus vs. The Shield

The Nexus storyline established talent up and down the roster in the long run, all while keeping their top face strong. It worked on some levels and I see a similarity with the Shield.

Re: John Cena, Ryback, & Sheamus vs. The Shield

The finish is gonna be really hokey. The only person I could see eating a pin is Sheamus.. Can't see Cena/Ryback or the Shield getting pinned. It would just be counter intuitive.

Talent up and down the roster? If you wanna watch Nexus members these days don't miss Saturday Morning Slam or go to a local indie show to see a few of the Nexus members. NONE of them are major players in the WWE at this point except Skip Sheffield who you may know as Ryback because he couldn't get over due in large part to the shitty Skip Sheffield character. Ryan Reeves didn't see any large scale success until he was re-packaged with an entirely new gimmick after he got injured and Nexus got a swift kick in the gut by creative. They got destroyed by Cena and promptly rolled over and died.

How was that good booking? how did it elevate any of the talent to ME success like it could've? Ryan Reeves success also had nothing to do with the nexus storyline, it's a completely separate character that could've entered the WWE Universe at anytime because he has nothing to do with the Skip Sheffield character. I want to see Ambrose or Rollins be a ME caliber guy by the time The shield runs it's course. If they book it like Nexus.. that's actually one of the worst thing that could happen.
