Re: John Cena, Ryback, & Sheamus vs. The Shield

Hopefully WWE finally gives The Shield a loss for once. They've been booked stronger than everyone else on the show including John Cena and Big Show.

It'd be one thing if they were beating up scrubs and jobbers, but they're getting put over Orton, Ryback, Sheamus, Kane, etc. It's way past time for them to start taking a few losses. Ryback still doesn't have a PPV win. The match needs to end with Ryback pinning Reigns after a shellshock imo.

They could just have adjusted the rules, making the winner the team that pin any member of the other team. This way you have only one guy pinned.

Would love to see Sheamus accidentally hit Ryback with the Brogue Kick by accident with Cena occupied on the outside and fails to save a shocked Sheamus in time after a Powerbomb by Reigns. We can hope!!

Sounds good. That way everybody is protected. Shield wins, Cena and Ryback don't get pinned, and Sheamus only loses by accident.

It also sets up Ryback vs Sheamus for Mania if they chose to go that direction instead of Orton vs Sheamus and Ryback vs Show.

But then its the question. How many times can Ryback get these kind of loses?

True but a big singles win at Mania is more important and would make up for it, but that's just me. The Shield losing is bad for them too. They've backed themselves into a corner again booking this.

They've only won once, technically. Unless (as you clearly are) we're counting run-ins as matches now. In which case sure they're booked strong, but they've already lost 3 times to date as well, if memory serves.... twice against the Superfriends in the last two weeks, and I distinctly recall them getting chased off a while back before TLC as well. So a 3 losses minimum, IF you chose to look at it like that.

I really hope they don't lose already in what is their second match in the WWE. There's a distinct chance though vs three of the most insanely overhyped wrestlers to date. I guess I'll have to deal. If they shine like they did at TLC then I'll be able to cope, wether they go over or not. Fingers crossed...

Re: John Cena, Ryback, & Sheamus vs. The Shield

I'd like to think WWE would be like "Hey, we have a chance to definitively cement 3 up and coming guys as stars of the present/future" and we have the Shield win, not cleanly, but in some type of way.

But, instead we're more likely to get SUPERCENA and his justice league pretty much crush the shield.
Cena's going back to his 2006/2007 roots of winning near enough every match, Ryback's PPV losing streak isn't something WWE will want to keep and adding Sheamus to that team pretty much means we're bound to see a win from them.

I hope I'm wrong, but I doubt it.

Re: John Cena, Ryback, & Sheamus vs. The Shield

I'm desperately hoping for a Shield win but let's be honest: Cena, Ryback and Sheamus are WWE's top 3 faces right now (minus The Rock, but he's only part-time), so it seems pretty unlikely within the current product that they'd let The Shield go over them. We can hope though.
