Obviously the most predictable thing to happen is Rock/Cena 2, with Cena winning, the Rock doing that awful handshake thing, and both walking up the ramp together in the cheesiest thing you ever saw.

BUT!

Is there any way we might not have to sit through that cringe inducing ending?

Some have suggested that Rock vs Cena vs Lesnar might be on the cards for a triple threat match.

I could see it happening, Cena was given a big match win over Lesnar, and usually we don't see that happen twice in a row, so it could be that Lesnar win the title.

Of course there are other rumours that a 45 year old, once a year HHH wants his win back so we might have to see Lesnar job to him at 'Mania.

If Rock and Lesnar both job, and throw in Punk jobbing to 'Taker I think it's horrendous for WWE, so so predictable, and just back to the status quo.

The rumours of Lesnar signing on for regular appearances means he could hold the belt for a while, which would be nice and fresh. Maybe after that have Cena go after the WHC, which would be a nice change of pace.

There's no chance.
WWE's plan was let Rock win the first match at Wrestlemania 28, and Rock losing to Cena at Wrestlemania 29 all along.

I think the real question is...how long is Cena's reign going to be? Taking the title from Rock I could see Cena keeping it for a solid 6-9 months...and that would suck.

I don't think so. If The Rock does retain, how much longer is he really going to last. He aint a full time wrestler so he ain't going to have it for months and compete on Raw and other PPV. So John Cena has to win this match.

Cena will win, but he's not going to have a huge title reign like Punk just did. NOBODY is going to get a reign like that. . .because they will learn from the mistake they just made with that last reign.

Reigns of those lengths simply do not work anymore. They don't keep the show interesting, they hold down other wrestlers from growing and being relevant, and they will develop hatred towards the character who keep holding the belt which simply will not go away. Fans that hated Cena years ago still hate him now even though he hasn't worn the belt in 15 months.

I suspect Cena will have a 3-4 PPV length title reign, and then lose it. Likely, it'll happen at Summerslam. So pretty much he will reign for the first quarter of the next season, then lose it to someone to put them over in a way CM Punk never could.

I don't mind that tbh. I will only get annoyed if Summerslam passes, and there appears to be no end in sight like with Punk's reign. Until that happens, I don't care that Cena wins it back. I'm just glad Punk's reign is finally done and something different is going to be happening with the title once he loses at EC and is no longer in the picture for awhile.

CM Punk winning all the time and having the title has been the status quo for about 18 months. I'm not seeing how Punk winning is somehow not maintaining the status quo, when by definition, it's exactly what the status quo is.

The bright side of that reign is that it has solidified Punk as the clear #2 guy in the company despite not getting a full rub from Cena (nor from HHH). With today's WWE lacking in top of the line stars, it was a bit necessary.

Cena will beat The Rock and win the wwe championship. He will then proceed to glow white and ascend to the sky where he will gain power from the gods. Cena will then go on to beat Bruno sammartinos record, and hold it for 30 years
