Outside the box thinking - The Shield vs. Kane/Taker
I know not very many people will like this, but i was just thinking about how a storyline with these 5 could work.
at the royal rumble kane and daniel bryan lose the tag team titles. they invoke their rematch for the elimination chamber, however, a week before the match kane gets attacked by the shield outside of the building for raw. the next week the shield then says in a recorded promo that they're going to keep attacking kane until he gets them what they want, but they won't say what they want. after losing a rematch for the tag titles at elimination chamber due to kane's injuries, kane and bryan agree to go their seperate ways with kane saying that he needs to take care of some business with the shield. kane continues to refuse to help the shield. one night on raw the shield attack kane in the ring, but the lights go out. when the lights come back on taker is in the ring, and he and kane clear out the ring. this leads to the undertaker saying that the shield wants to permanently get rid of him from the wwe, but that won't happen. the match is made for wrestlemania with two members of the shield vs. undertaker and kane.
at wrestlemania, the match starts, and roman reigns gets ejected from ringside for trying to interfere. the match goes on, and eventually undertaker wins with a hell's gate submission. after the match roman reigns comes back to the ring and attacks taker. kane comes in but the shield eventually handcuff kane to the ring ropes. they then take taker to the top of the stage and do the triple powerbomb to taker dropping him off the stage. the announcers would then go crazy wondering on taker's health. some members of the roster and legends would come out to check on taker. we would then see taker being taken out of the building on a stretcher. later in the night, it would be revealed that heyman paid the shield to do what they did to taker.
the whole idea is to make the shield look like an extremely dominant group while letting taker take another year off to rest before a possible mania match or permanent retirement. not many will like it, but it's outside the box thinking.
