john is going to hold that belt for the remaining year. I desperately hope something happens that prevents him from further damaging the product. And if john uses his stinking backstage manipulating politics to beat Punk´s record, I AM GONE.

I actually never liked the set up of "Hey we've got 30-40 guys in the Royal Rumble fighting for a title shot and then 3 weeks later 10 of the losers will be getting title shots!" set up that they had from Royal Rumble to Elimination Chamber. It makes it look WAY too easy to get a title shot. I liked it better when it was "Oh you didn't win the Rumble? Well tough luck. Try again next year". Getting a title shot should be a hard process and opportunities should be few & far between because the harder it is to win a World Title, then the more it will mean when somebody wins one. Of course when you have 12 PPVs a year and two World Titles, it just leads to over-saturation.

Now this year's set up for EC looks like it is going to be a War Games style EC match with Cena, Sheamus, & Ryback facing The Shield and then six men competing for a shot at Wrestlemania against the winner of Alberto Vs. Big Show III. I like that a lot more. The Elimination Chamber is used to set up a title shot, so at least putting six Rumble losers in there works as a 2nd chance to get to Mania as a challenger (which is born out of necessity due to having two World Titles, which I hate, but whatever I'll go with it) so they still are on a road to the title rather than just willy nilly getting a title shot because we have 5 spots to fill against the champion. And the War Games style match is a good way to keep the Rumble winner busy to bide time before his title shot at Wrestlemania.

I definitely don't see Cena holding the title for a year, maybe 4-5 months and i'm actually ok with that. Obviously Punk is losing at the Chamber but will be interesting to see how he takes the loss.

Its not pointless it will set up the triple threat main event at Mania so Cena and overcome the odds of both Rock and Punk. My only question is who will get pinned, if its Punk i will die with laughter.

I don't like the idea of this triple threat. If Cena is scheduled to win, I preffer to have Punk in a more interesting match against HHH or Taker.

i don't know, that kinda makes all Elimination Chambers/No Way Outs pointless? It's always been obvious after the Royal Rumble, what match will end up main eventing WM. You're just doing it cause this time it's John Cena. Hypocrites.

Even if he didn't win the Rumble EC still would have been pointless as he would have won the chamber match to be no 1 contender anyway

Its been obvious for a long time that this was going to be John's boys WM

A little but they'll have to skip this week's worth of build anyway due to Rock being unable to appear on RAW this week so it kind of works to just announce the re-match and then just expect a really good match from the two of them. Though personally, I feel like Punk without the title - being pissed off - has been pretty fresh truth be told (obviously he came off as being a bit pissed off before (but it seems even better now that's been going to the next level/has a big reason to be pissed)). The unpredictable route for WWE to take would be for Punk to win (which in my opinion is what they should do if Undertaker is possibly unable to compete this year as has been rumored - as it would easily set up a three way title match at 'Mania (which in my opinion would be much better than Cena-Rock 2) - as Rock would get his re-match at 'Mania and Cena would still be in the title match due to his title win). Hell even if Undertaker is able to compete at 'Mania this year and they intend to have him face Punk as has been rumored I think it would be quite the swerve to have Punk win the re-match @ Elimination Chamber (and then just have him lose it back to Rock on RAW the next night or another episode of RAW prior to 'Mania --- though at the same time that kind of defeats the fact that Punk was able to previously tout the fact that we aren't going to see that title passed around like a hot potato every week when he won the title in 2011 @ Survivor Series --- still, I wouldn't mind seeing the swerve of Punk winning the title at EC)...
