Re: Official The Rock vs. John Cena Thread: Greatness vs. Redemption, TWICE IN A LIFE

I'm certaily expecting Cena to win clean on sunday, & as I said before they may well go for a submission win for him, but I think the one option they could go for that wouldn't be offensively bad would be a simple reversal of last year, with Rock going for the 5 knuckle shuffle & it being reversed into an AA from Cena for the win. That way Cena and Rock are seen as on an equal footing, and fufills the redemption angle perfectly, as Cena beats The Rock exactly how The Rock beat him.

I'd still tune out for a while if they went down this road, since the WWE would more or less be right back in the same position they were in before the Rock came back in 2011.

But again, It's the least worst option, if they're absolutely determined to give Cena a clean win here. That way, they can set up a rubber match if they wish, or can leave well alone and just have Cena and Rock leave it as equals.

can't believe Ziggler actually thought he was going to get a match with Brock or The Rock this year at Mania. Jericho yeah, but he delusional to think he had a chance at the other two.

I am hoping for Rock to win, that way John Cena goes in crazy panic and loses it, and goes for a steel chair while Rock is celebrating, whacks him several times turning heel in the process. Cena can then take the title at the next ppv. With CM Punk taking time off John Cena has to turn he can have fresh feuds with Ryback, Sheamus, Orton, Del Rio, Jericho, Kane, and Bryan. Heel Cena vs. Daniel Bryan would be be awesome.

Perfect scenario. Rock win and Cena snapping is exactly what I want to see happen tomorrow night.

Awesome match, its unreal to see the face of the company tap out to Benoit at that point even with Lesnar distracting him he didnt got hit by a chair or anything it was as clean as it gets props to him

Edit: BTW im not looking down on Benoit cause he was a beast on the ring but at this point he wasnt a established Main-eventer

Well remember Rock was leaving after Summerslam, and he wouldn't return until 6 months later.

They probably figured that since he's leaving, we may as well let him put over as many people as possible.

Actually, the last time ROCK tapped out was when he faced Kurt Angle back in 2002 on Smackdown!

I know he tapped out after the match but it still counts.
