Re: Official The Rock vs. John Cena Thread: Greatness vs. Redemption, TWICE IN A LIFE

I love how well WWE is trolling the shit out of everyone, making them think that The Roid is winning or that Cena is going heel.

Let's face it here ; I might have agreed with the idea of a Cena heel turn if there was SOMEBODY else to take over the mantle as the number one face of the company. It's not like Wrestlemania X-7 where you had The Rock as the number one face in the company who was eventually going to come back and slay the big bad dragon .... Ryback can't do that, Sheamus can't do that, PUNK IS AN UBER HEEL at this point. Unless you REALLY want Cena to be heel going into XXX against The Roid AGAIN or hopefully The Undertaker, but then you'd have to have him hold the title for the entire fucking year (not a bad idea, all things considered).

The Roid winning is very, VERY fucking unlikely due to one simple fact ; he's leaving after Extreme Rules. They wouldn't have him beat Cena and then lose to somebody else at ER or even CENA @ ER (as that would diminish Cena's ability to win the big one still). Also, if The Roid wins ; Roid-Cena III is practically a lock. This is Cena's storyline for redemption and The Roid is just along for the ride, as this storyline has been set up over a three year span to have Cena come out on top, going into his match against Taker @ XXX looking to become the UNDISPUTED GOAT.

Cant wait until this "The Roid' fad fucks off.

It makes anyone who uses it look childish.

Yes, because a grown man spouting out nonsense like "Twinkie Tits", "Cookie Puss", and "Kung Pow Bitch" just fucking SCREAMS maturity .

What do things The Rock says on screen have to do with posting on a wrestling forum?

All of those names are childish. Yes we know. It doesn't change anything.

Calling The Rock "The Roid" makes you look lame. Just like when people do dumb shit like RyBERG, or CM Drunk, and so on.

Its sad because good users on here, such as yourself feel the need to run with the gimmick. Its a dumb fad and cant wait for it to die.

You avoid confrontation and you avoid tipping off the ending. I think that's a big reason why there was no physical confrontation this week.

With Rock at Extreme Rules I think the door is open for a Rock victory. Rock wins, you continue the build of Cena not being able to win the big one leading up to his heel turn at WM 30 and ending the streak. Extreme Rules you can give Cena a definitive victory over the Rock. Have him put his career on the line and pull out all of the stops to win.

Personally I think Cena wins clean though at WM and retains at ER because Brock interfered.

It's not a fad. It's one of the only nicknames that I laugh out loud about every time I hear it to be completely honest .

BACK TO BUSINESS. This is Cena's moment and I'm pretty sure everybody and their mother knows that by now. Sure, Cena has gone over BIG DAVE, HBK, and HHH @ Manias past, but he doesn't have that generation defining win over an ICON like The Roid. He has also lost at two straight Manias, with this being the third one in a row if he loses this Sunday. Cena NEEDS this to kayfabe cement himself as a top four guy EVER alongside Hogan, Austin, and Rocky.

That's what I would have done. Cena beating Rock only with the help of Brock Lesnar at ER. Still hinting at a different character direction for 2013 while holding the title, then in January starting to show more frustration with his position in history because he's going in circles and can't get that one career defining moment that would send his name to another caliber, until putting everything on the line against the streak at WM30 with Rock/Brock. That's a blockbuster and they get a satisfying ending in terms of sending the crowd home happy at WM29.

If Cena is turning, let it happen at WM.It is the biggest thing in recent times and it needs to happen at the grandest stage possible.

Cena wins at Extreme Rules ; he still doesn't have his generation defining moment.

He NEEDS this win at Wrestlemania more than he ever needed a win in his entire life.

Then he can go on and beat The Undertaker next year to become the Undisputed GOAT.
