Re: John Cena and The Rock have sold me on watching their match after that amazing pr

Well it must be wool season after Monday night. Because it seems to me a lot of sheep will stand in line and be sheered some 60 or so dollars from the shepherd Vinny Mac.

Last week everyone NOT a Cena fan was complaining what a waste of time this so called "feud" was and now after a luke warm segment ( let's be honest compared the Rock's Main Event matches from Maina 15, 16, 17, 18, 19 & 20. Find there build ups and you'll see why Cena/Rock I & II are nothing more than children playing with puppies in terms of emotion, physicality & importance) most people have become Pavlov's Dog's just waiting for the bell to ring.

Impressive.....

Sure for today LOW standards & a lack luster Maina in general, then yes last nights segment delivered. Congrats with TWO weeks left, the WWE decided it was time to actually add something to a "feud" filled with recap after recap and video package.

A qoute comes to mind to describe the true selling methods of WWE.....

"Madness as you know is like gravity. All it takes is a little PUSH"

The madness here boy's & girls is this very thread, after one little promo everyone has gone CRAZY boating about a feud that was dead just seven days ago. Congrats you've bought into the madness and sometimes that's enough.

Enjoy Maina 29

You're talking about the 2 biggest stars WWE has today, of course people are going to be invested into their program/match, it's still a dream match for many. You may not like it, but just because you don't doesn't mean everyone else doesn't have to. You're not the one in the arenas buying tix or merch for the wrestlers. That's who WWE pays attention to. You act like your opinion is the only one that matters.

Cena and The Rock delivered, simple as that.

the 2nd week after Royal Rumble was the time to have Cena do this "obsessed Cena character" , Why wait til the last 2 week to the show.

I thought the promo was alright.

We all know Cena's winning anways, the least they could do is give us a couple of good promos. We deserve that much.

Do you want to know why I hate this match? Why people shouldn't subscribe to this crap?

The reason I say this isn't because the match itself wouldn't be of terrible quality, despite the hate Cena gets he does work well in the ring, and Rock still can put on a good match himself.

But we all know whats going to happen, and to me that's the biggest mistake and most pathetic thing WWE is going to do. Honestly, when you can already guess the outcome of the main event of NEXT YEARS WrestleMania, that's not good business. Let me explain.. Rock announced that at the royal rumble he will face the WWE Champion, whomever that may be. CM Punk has had the title for 200+ days, and I don't see him losing it anytime soon. They have already foreshadowed a feud between him and Rock with what went down last Monday night. So Punk makes it to Royal Rumble, Rock beats him and captures the WWE Championship and Cena wins the Rumble to challenge him, setting up Rock/Cena II and Cena's ultimate victory at WrestleMania.

To me, the predictability is pathetic.
I wrote that in fucking July, last year.

As someone mentioned above, maybe if it wasn't as predictable as hell i'd be more invested in wanting to see this and be more excited about it. But the fact is IT IS PREDICTABLE AS HELL. Why anyone wants to see Cena get his false redemption, I just don't understand.

Both of these men can clearly draw. The fans are invested in the backstory of this storyline. This match is a moneymaker just as the other matches you've mentioned were. Any sentiments you had on the quality of the match should be irrelevant to the discussion.
Rock/Austin isn't the comparative point ( and you can't compare those two since the build-up was muuuch better for WM 17 ). What I am saying is that this is the same match, the same stipulation, the same thing... Cena is saying that he can beat The Rock, that he will do everything to do it,blablabla,... I'm not talking about wrestling quality, I'm talking about why I should be interest in this match. I'm saying " What is the difference between WM 28 and WM 29 ? What is the big difference that makes the match we have this year totally worth watching if I had already seen the last one ? " What you said is good but that's still similar to the last match. So, if what you said is right, we will have a more agressive Cena who will bring it all against a arrogant Rock who will says that he is unstopabble ? In the promo I saw, it was something we could see last year. Just replace some words who talk about the last match, show it to someone i 2012 and I guarantee they will believe this is a promo that can happen before WM 28

What amazing promo? Segment was mostly trash except the last couple minutes where Cena did the "you didn't beat me" stuff which was pretty good but nothing spectacular. Cena and Rock having one watchable exchange in a 2 year feud does not change anything.

Because WM main events have never been predictable.

Oh wait what about most of the royal rumble winners being dead certs up until 2009? WM 20 one of the best WM matches ever in HBK/HHH/Benoit and everyone knew Benoit was going to win. Was still an awesome match.
