Re: Official The Rock vs. John Cena Thread: Greatness vs. Redemption, TWICE IN A LIFE
What people fail to realize is that WWE is a business. And when your a business your main focus is too make as much money as possible. Just because there's a tagline, doesn't mean they can't do it again. It made them a shitload of money last year, and they had the second highest buyrate for WrestleMania in history for WrestleMania 28. It's a sure way to make ALOT of money in a short period of time. The WWE will do whatever makes them the most money, and Rock/Cena is the only match right now (besides Rock/Brock or Cena/Taker which I feel those matches will be at WrestleMania 30) that makes them a lot of money.
And just because it was billed "once in a lifetime" doesn't mean they can't do it again. I feel that people aren't mad that the WWE is "lying to them," but that Cena's involved. If it was Punk/Rock 3 at WrestleMania, I highly doubt we would hear this much complaining. I think people just don't want to see Cena win, even though there's no reason why he shouldn't win.
Plus, they've already sold out WrestleMania 29, and have a $11 million dollar gate.
Just because YOU don't want to see it, doesn't mean there's not millions of people who do, and who will order the PPV or go to the show. So yeah, you can go on bitching and moaning, but as long as it makes WWE money, their going to do it.
I also can't believe how much you let Cena ruin your own lives by doing what he does.
You all may make fun of people with "IT'S STILL REAL TO ME DAMN IT!" for the young kids or marks or whatever, but you guys are even worse than them. You have this deep-seeded legitimate rage for Cena and his fans to the point where you let it affect your day to day life.
Grow up. Seriously.
If you don't understand why John Cena wins all the time, maybe professional wrestling is not for you.
