got so bad that I was enjoying stuff that would make me turn off the tv, but when Rocky came back everything was stepped up, Brock came back, Cena starts changing(he's turning heel or Rock is winning), WWE does different stuff(AJ), they went 3 hours, New Age Outlaws came back, better promos, more effort etc, Jericho is Y2J, everyone steps up their game.

New title design, WWE gets more promoted(So now there is no excuse for not having a cena heel turn, as if John Cena stays the main face without The Rock they get no publicity, with Rock as the #1 guy in wrestling again(and he is to anyone who disagrees), Cena can easily turn heel and it would work), better storylines, better promos, unpredictable booking(the mark out moment we had in my house when The Rock win, wow) etc.

Cool thing is Rock ain't leaving and kept his word, he'll be at the may ppv, and Wrestlemania 30. wwe can only get better, I just wonder what would happen if Rock didn't return in 2011? same loopholes from 2002-2011 all over again.

I thought even Brock lesnar(a guy who I thought would never return due to the nfl/2004 stuff) would return before Rock did, instead Rock returns first, Rock truly loves the WWE, he can make more money doing other stuff and not have the negative stigma of wrestling yet he chooses to do so promoting WWE in the process(because we know WWE ain't promoting him anymore. he's promoting them now.)
from a fan been blessed to live during the AE ( so much adrenaline every week .. oh the old days ) i knew what u mean with the 2002 changing every thing from there to be more less ( 2009 2010 oh we don't need any of that )

but reading what u said after our ROCKY'S HISTORIC return i feel the impact even more and i want to say i'm just grateful to witness ALL of it i love it and looking for WM 29 and WM 30 and lets just hope for more

I wish they would do this again to hype Rock Vs. Cena II. Everything has to take place in the ring these days.

And why would you assume he is gonna dominate with the title all year long, people are jumping to this conclusion why, because he's beating the Rock? He might not even make it to Summerslam, he damn sure won't last anywhere near Mania next year.
Its going to be the same as last year with Cena main eventing almost every PPV except he will have the WWE Championship this time.

Re: Official The Rock vs. John Cena Thread: Greatness vs. Redemption, TWICE IN A LIFE

Sorry friends for posting about Rock/Cena promo, which took place 2 weeks ago.But in India it was just relayed half-an hour ago.

Here is my take about that promo:

1.Rock's Entrance & Crowd reaction:

Awesome, simply awesome. The fans at Buffalo were on their feet when the Great One entered the arena. And the guy couldn't speak for several moments, after entering the ring,as the crowd was so hot and the cheers were so prolonged and loud.DAT crowd reaction,NO ONE GETS IT Except Da G.O.A.T!.They were cheering him like he was the almighty GOD(not you Punk sorry).

Thunderous Rocky Rocky chants throughout his promo. There are some people here who keep on saying that at Mania it was Cena sucks>Rocky in terms of chants. But fans of Buffalo had other idea. When huge CENA SUCKS chants started, soon after plenty of people started chanting ROCKY ROCKY,rather than usual lets go Cena,Cena sucks thing.

The entire crowd reaction for The Rock proved why he's the ultimate SUPERSTAR in the history of professional wrestling. The same crowd which was so alive for him,was barely energetic at HHH's promo.

2.Rock & Cena's face to face promo:

Absolutely fantastic.Even though I would still boycott their match at Mania, yet the promo was simply superb. Both men were serious and played their part superbly.

Loved when Cena said,'you don't know what it is to fail,as you conquered the Attitude Era,conquered the Hollywood and came back to the WWE and once again conquered it'.How true!

However,Cena's explanation of how he understands failure looked extremely phoney(no disrespect to any Cena fan). But still,he was trying to sell how big the loss of last year was,so all good!

But anyway,it was the best promo Rock and Cena had delivered together till date.Dat dialogue,"John, you think you can beat me,I KNOW I can beat you.'Also that Lance Armstrong comment was great,Armstrong full of crap like Cena, lol.

Overall, enjoyed the segment, even much to the surprise of myself.Hope WWE keeps this momentum up.

PS: Once again sorry guys for posting about this 2 weeks old promo, just watched it now,and typed all this in the excitement of the moment.Cheers!

THE ROCK: The biggest star and draw of pro-wrestling industry EVER.

1.Holds the record of drawing most major shows with 10,000+ attendance on top in one calendar year.[Broke Hogan's(1986) and Austin's(1998) record in 1999 and set a record of headlining over 100 shows with 10,000 plus people in attendance in year 2000.A box-office drawing record that is unsurpassed till date.]

2.Holds the record of main-eventing almost 17 PPVs that have got over 500k buys(again,a feat of inimitable drawing power that is unmatched by anyone in pro-wrestling history)

3.Drew the highest cable ratings during the AE.

4.Sold more merchandise than anyone active between mid 1999-2001.

I would buy this redemption angle if Cena had sold it throughout the year instead of the past 3 weeks.

Cena will win the title at Wrestlemania, then he will again have some matches against CM Punk (Punk loosing)... Then Brock Lesnar will win the title from Cena (maybe at Summer Slam 2013), after we will see Ryback vs. Lesnar.

This would do WONDERS for the feud heading into Mania. In fact, I say again and again, if they want to make part 2 better than 1, look at Austin/Rock from WM 17.

WISH LIST

A new, 44th WWE Champion [x]
Daniel Bryan, SummerSlam 2013. Then Orton won it and the WWE was like

SmackDown moves to live Thursdays []
Cena is not in a title match nor a main event at WrestleMania []
Raw returns to two hours, instead of three []

Fans aren't really invested into the product enough anymore to pelt shit loads of trash. Rock/Cena may be huge but it's not something that will make fans emotional like Hogan's heel turn or Goldberg beating Hogan did, both which had tons of garbage in the ring. This match won't give you goosebumps and other than their pockets, no real impact. Beating a part timer who is completely removed from all angles the rest of the year will never have any impact.

I like that even in WWE's own "A Year in the Making" they barley mention Cena having a bad year.

Lol I love how they have on there Cena beating Lesnar and yet still try to make it seem that Cena had such a bad year in 2012. It's even more sad people are actually buying into it. Boy I can't wait for this fucking feud to be over so we can get to the rematch people do wanna see and that is Rock/Brock.
