Well, i suppose that is a positive spin on it, if that is what indeed happens.

People are blowing the Lance comment WAY out of proportion. Sounds like some are just looking for a reason to believe a heel turn or even Rock winning is actually gonna happen. Cena will beat Rock CLEAN and then probably shake his hand.

Meh. People just like to believe WWE still has that touch for good storytelling and planting a seed. Which unfortunately they don't.

It makes for a good read and makes me more excited for the match when theories like that are thrown around.

Its just a shame about the inevitable disappointment when it doesnt happen.

I thought it was 100% Cena but now with Rock working ER and as we already know, headlining WM30 next year, there's a big chance. Add to it that they can't book 3 predictable outcomes for the top matches, and with Rock there in May along with the fact that it's closing the PPV where you need to give the WM audience a satisfying ending, I can see it. This can also lead to the build of WM30 with Cena and Taker, Cena failing to beat Rock on the big stage and putting everything on the line against the streak next year. We also saw that Cena losing to Rock is not a problem as Rock stood tall over him in every PPV they had together, WM27, SVS 2011 and WM28. This is NOT a typical babyface/babyface angle where you need to book even. The reason for that is Rock's PPV customers are there specifically because of him, especially on the international level, you gotta give your paying audience the payoff they paid to see. That's why it's easier to book a Rock loss at a B PPV like ER, but even if somehow Rock loses at WM29, there would be some "out" for him, with Lesnar as the main option, leading to a bigger payoff in their match next year.

Once in a Lifetime
Greatness vs Redemption

Strategically, "Once in a Lifetime" is much better, you emphasize the fact that you're seeing a rare attraction but also because that the "Redemption" story has almost no value, the majority of the audience is not paying to see Cena in this situation in any way, LET ALONE, against The Rock when he bring these extra people.

This is a great promo. Old school WWF style, hope WWE can do a similar promo:

Rock316AE, I hope you're right but what if Rock is involved in a six man tag match against the Shield because he still hasn't got his revenge. All top faces have been involved in brawls vs the Shield but Rock still hasn't so maybe that's a possibility. Or this date could be a segment where Rock addresses his next opponent (similar to when HHH addressed Lesnar in NWO 2012).

Honestly, the promo Rock & Cena did on Monday kind of has me a bit hyped for "Greatness vs. Redemption" at WrestleMania now.

Agree with you there, the promo was great. It's good to see Cena serious for once

I hope Cena winning won't mean they'll need to have a third tie breaker match at wm 30. Just because I want that to be the stage for Undertaker vs Cena.
