Can't people enjoy a promo without wanting to see the match? It really isn't that hard to grasp dude.

I'm not buying that redemption/crisis storyline for one second.

It was a good promo. I seriously don't see what was wrong with it. What were some of you expecting?

Re: The Rock vs Cena Promo

I thought it was a dreadful promo, fantastically dull. "You are really really intense." "No, you are really really intense." "I am sad that I beat you. I will beat you this time. "No, I already beat you. I will beat you again.". The only highlight was Rocky's Armstrong joke. They both seem tired and bereft of ideas. I could barely make it through the promo, at least last year they both looked like they were enjoying themselves. This time they seemed to be cringing inside almost as much as I was physically.

It is so difficult to get behind either of them, when all they do is stroke their own egos constantly. At least Rocky is still entertaining as he does it, so for me he is the only face in this match. I really don't see how they are going to sell us the same Face v Face angle as last year. Cena is even less likeable now than he was then.

I mark for (right now):

William Regal
Shinsuke Nakamura
Dean Ambrose
Cesaro
Sami Zayn
Enzo Amore & Big Cass
Paige
Bad News Barrett

Infinite marking and endless love for:

Eddie Guerrero
Larry Sweeney
Macho Man Randy Savage

Cena smiled because the line was a good, stinging line. Have you ever been taking shit with someone and they hit you with a good line and you smiled? It wasn't because you thought it was funny, it was because it was a good line and you had to deflect it somehow. Cena smiled because it was a good line and it landed home so he had to act like it didn't sting.
I guess people expected him to do this:

Re: The Rock vs Cena Promo

It was a great segment. I loved it. The question is whether these two can sustain it. There’s no denying that Rock still has the ability to deliver an epic promo. Cena is also very capable. I just don’t know if they can sustain it for another three or four shows. That’s the concern with Rock at this point in his career, and it’s always been an issue with Cena.

This segment worked because it set the stage. Now they need to keep their foot on the pedal until Mania, and simply talking isn’t going to get it done two or three shows from now. I do hope they get physical leading into Wrestlemania. Why not have Cena jump the Rock at one of his movie shoots, presumably in retaliation of a rock bottom. Use Rock’s Hollywood status to their advantage. That's the next layer to freshen up the feud. They kept them from fighting before WM28. They shouldn't do that for WM29.

Nope, I think it peaked on Monday.

Re: Is there ANY chance Cena losses against the rock?

In my opinion The Rock Shouldn't fight John Cena. They have allready stated: "Once in a lifetime - never before, never again".

Rocky filming other movies doesnt really matters since heīs not on tv on a regular basis. He could still shoot movies and take that day off when heīs on Raw or a ppv.

Well sure I mean the promo wasn't bad by any means but it certainly wasn't anything spectacular like a lot of ppl are saying on here.
