Re: Official The Rock vs. John Cena Thread: Greatness vs. Redemption, TWICE IN A LIFE

Maybe they will have The Rock go over again with him signing on for next year. It's possible they will do a Rock-Cena 3 with the whole "can Cena finally do it"?

That would piss off a lot of people on here

Re: The Rock vs Cena Promo

Here's my problem- the promo was good, but last year there seemed to be genuine heat between the two of them. This year, it seems like they're drinking buddies

Re: The Rock vs Cena Promo

In all honesty, this makes me not want to watch mania. I'm going to enjoy knowing I have a good 30-60 minutes weekly during raw to get errands around the house done and veritably ignore this. I won't call it good or bad. But I will call the concept of this match as well has hhh/lesnar not only a waste of modern day fans' time, but a veritable shitting on the current roster.

I don't care WHY, I just care that the current roster for the most part is being shat on.

Yet another reason to just ignore the guy, G. This intrinsic dichotomy at the very CORE of Cena's 'character' is why it is a chore to watch anything with him.

And skip this match. Just like I did for Taker/HHH. The rest of the roster does not deserve to suffer for this egotistical bs that caters to the lowest common denominator.

Well yeh...unlike Cena or Rock, punk is steroid free ^_^

WWE is filled with 'Good Ol' Boys' in power positions. It is just how it is, and I will keep calling WWE, Pro Wrestling in USA, as well as some of it's fans out on this because it is bollox. I do notice an apparent effort being made to mitigate this somewhat, but time will ultimately tell.

Don't understand people who keep saying they're acting like good buddies. the rock told him he was full of crap and he would kick his ass, and was being a smug prick and rubbing everything in his face. Yeah, I totally want to have a friend like that.

Re: The Rock vs Cena Promo

Where the hell was that kind of promo last year when it was their first-ever match?

I thought it was right on the money as far as their first face-to-face in a year goes. They've established what both men want from this match, what angles they're coming to Mania from, and I think they sold quite a few PPVs last night.

I guess you can't really say the stuff they did last year didn't work, as they still helped Mania 28 draw 1.3 million buys. I hope the more serious approach to the rematch this year will keep a lot of those same viewers.

Solid build so far, and they sold me on the rematch.

I also don't think it's so cut and dry that Cena's taking the win, but that's a rant for another thread.

I'm a Brock Lesnar Guy.

It was a very good promo the problem is nothing is going to change anyone's opinion about this match.

Too much overlooking going on here but nothing will change.

The current roster isn't being shat on though. If anything this Mania is going to be one of those Manias that will highlight the majority of the current guys. HHH/Lesnar/Taker/Rock are the only four guys who are not really current. Just 4. With the exception of HHH/Lesnar the other two are involved in top main event feuds with current big stars. Dont really see a major problem here.

But whatever, Im one of the few looking forward to Mania this year.

Tomato TomaHto. Come the fuck on, you know what he meant. Cena no sells losing until it's that convenient time for him to get that win back.

They did alot better than I expected. The best encounter between the two by far.
