Really? Long overdue? What has the UK done for WWE?

Yes, so all of the North American fans on the west coast can wake up at 1000 AM for a middle of the day PPV.

Yep, so us Brits/Europeans don't need to stay up the whole night to watch the PPV

Re: WrestleMania 30 Location Almost Confirmed...

Listen people, there is NO WAY in hell Vince is going to lose a potential 70,000 seat arena that will give a shit-ton of money for a 20,000 seat arena. WrestleMania is too big of a spectacle now to be held in such small arena like MSG. Vince isn't going to risk going to MSG just to appease the internet crowd who scream of "tradition!." He's going to do what's right for business and what makes his company the most money. And that's booking the 30th Anniversary of WrestleMania is a huge arena for a lot of people.

As for WrestleMania being in New Orleans. I'm not sure anymore. After the power-outage at the Super Bowl, I think Vince might think twice.

You all may make fun of people with "IT'S STILL REAL TO ME DAMN IT!" for the young kids or marks or whatever, but you guys are even worse than them. You have this deep-seeded legitimate rage for Cena and his fans to the point where you let it affect your day to day life.

Grow up. Seriously.

Eh, they had Wrestlemanias all the time in smaller areans in the 80s and 90s when they definitely could have done them in bigger ones. I don't think it's that huge of a difference since WWE always ends up having to give away a lot of tickets for free when they do big areans (even for Wrestlemania). At this point renting MSG is probably more expensive than renting the Superdome or a comparatively sized arena though, so from that perspective it's probably fair.

Well, you'll just have to live with that because WWE is an American corporation and probably makes the vast majority of their profit from North America. They would not cater to a foreign population for their biggest PPV of the year. Deal with it.

They had WrestleMania a lot in smaller arena's in the 90's because they didn't have a lot of star power to book massive arena's. They were running shows based on Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker. It wasn't until 2001 that they booked a big arena again and it sold out 68,000 people. And that's when they had Austin, The Rock and Triple H as well as Kurt Angle, and The Undertaker. Than, they went back to smaller arena's starting with WM 20 to 22 because a lot of the Attitude Era stars left and they were in the process of finding a top face again. But, when they went to Ford Field for WrestleMania 23, they sold out 80,000 people. Since than I think Vince noticed that he can make WrestleMania a big thing, and since than every arena they booked had sold out over 70,000.

Now, they have the star power of The Rock, John Cena, Brock fuckin' Lesnar, The Undertaker and Triple H. Plus guys like CM Punk and Randy Orton. That's too much star power to be in a small arena like MSG.

I actually wouldn't mind something like that, assuming WWE can make sure that this event would be more profitable than usual.

Cause for all we know, if WWE finds out that there'd be more people overseas(meaning Europe and stuff) who will buy PPVs than in North America, then it might be wiser to have PPV to suit them.

Think about it, lets say it's like 8pm or something in Sweden(used sweden since it seems to be sorta in the middle in terms of timezones in europe). That'd be 2pmEST(meaning 2pm in new york, toronto, boston ect). If more people WORLDWIDE would buy a PPV then, compared to if they had it at 8pm in new york(meaning it'd be 2am in Sweden), wouldn't mind PPV being earlier then.

I think it's something WWE should consider. If they only get like 180k buyers in USA anyways and 50k from elsewhere, and lets say somewhere like 150k still buy the event at 2pmEST on Sunday, if WWE can get like 100k from non USA buys, that'd be huge success for them.

Well if it's Football season that's never going to work in the US. And 2PM in New York is 11am in California, which would be a terrible idea.

I don't think they've given away tickets the last two years and there's no way they've had to give away a single ticket for this year. I don't know for sure about the other years but I don't think they've had to give tickets away (other than things like radio contests or some other give always but that's always a form of advertising).
