I believe this match will happen for a few reasons:

1. Rock can't be there every RAW going into WM. It will be easier if CM Punk and Cena can carry the feud while he's gone.
2. CM Punk will regain the title in controversial fashion against The Rock at Elimination Chamber.
3. Rock will use his rematch clause at WM because we all know Rock does things on the biggest of stages.
4. CM Punk will continue his reign acting like it never ended at the Rumble. So if he wins the title at the Elimination Chamber he will claim he's been WWE Champion for 456 days. Remember he said this EC match is a rematch for The Rock. If Punk continues his reign -- even in his own mind -- it will tie in well with Bruno getting inducted.

My prediction:

WWE Championship, Triple Threat: CM Punk (c) vs. The Rock (#1 Contender/Rematch Clause) vs. John Cena (Royal Rumble Winner)

Not a bad idea, far better than Cena v Rock 2

No, a triple threat will only take away the big feel aura of the rematch between 2 of the biggest stars this company had seen.

Rock - Cena 2 alone is already a guaranteed 1.5 million buyrate with the title.

And the key to gaining that figure is by building the program towards each other....ONLY.

Rock - Cena. Just them and nothing else. No need to insert a freaking janitor just because a bunch of neckbeard virgins are whining.

Why would WWE do Rock/Cena II when they tagged last year's match as "Once in a Lifetime?" I'm very confident we will get Punk-Rock-Cena at WM with Punk going in as champion. Punk will regain it at EC

I do hope its a triple threat, but i dont see Punk walking into WM champ if it happens. I see it being like Rock wins at EC then like 2 weeks later theres a contract signing between the rock and cena then punk comes out with the sheild attacks cena and Rock and then punk signs the contract himself. Similer to like how HBK signed the contract for WM 20 with him, HHH, and Beniot

Cena/Punk/Rock is also very helpful for The Rock's body. We've seen he gets tired extremely quickly due to not wrestling matches consistently. A triple threat allows him to rest up at times during the match without slowing the match down, as Punk and Cena can go at it for a while.

Plus, the build up between the three would be much more interesting that just promos between Rock and Cena, which as we all saw before were pretty lackluster.

Would that actually mean Taker is taking the year off? I hope HHH stays away this Mania because rock/cena/punk and taker/brock would be pretty fucking sweet.

Nah I'm 100% sure we're getting Rock/Cena II because they're not gonna allow Punk to have two one on one matches with The Rock & not allow Cena to get another match.

Rock's going over Punk at EC & we're getting Rock/Cena II at Mania.

I also think a triple threat will happen. Here is why:

1)Rock will not be able to get a rematch beacause he will be gone from WWE after Mania. I think CM PUNK walks in as champ and when Cena wins at Mania, Punk will face him at extreme rules.

2)Triple threat addresses the dirtsheet rumour that WWE wants Punk in the final match.

3)I don't think the WWE is dumb enough to have another build of Rock/Cena by themselves. We have seen this for the past 2 road to wrestlemanias. They have nothing new to say. I doubt they will have Cena use the "Im always here and your not" line again." The build can use a third person. Its not like it would be the first time a Mania Main Event was a multiman match. It also wont even be the second time.

4)WWE also know Punk has established his own group of fans. People that don't care for the rock or cena. It would be a great environment to have Punks fans vs cenation vs "the people".

5)Cena's promo can tie into the triple threat match also. I know he cant ignore punk to not make Rock/Cena obvious, but he did devote a bit of time to put Punk over.

IMO a triple threat would sell just as well as a 1v1 match. Unless there is a gimmick added, another 1v1 match with Rock/Cena would just be similar to last years. Nothing new really. The match could really use Punk to be the workhorse and carry those two to create a good match.

It makes too much sense to go this route, but when shit makes sense the WWE does the opposite.
