Re: WWE is so predictable

We have the internet mostly to thank for WWE being predictable, if something leaks you can find it here first and so we expect it to happen or at least to happen soon. Before the internet was so popular the WWe was very unecxpected. most events that happen now like Rocks return, Brock Lesners return, and Royal Rumble entrants and winners woud hardly been known if they were back then.

Agreed, if the internet was big back in the 80's and 90's right now, a lot of the shock factor would lose it's affect. The Monday Night War wouldn't have been effective because that relied on a lot of surprises. Can you imagine how the NWO takeover would have been if it got old that Hall and Nash were doing an invasion angle? Can you imagine if it got out that Tyson was going to have a confrontation with Stone Cold before it happened, or knowing that Wrestlemania 14 would be HBK's last match for another 4 plus years.

This. Though if Rock won the re-match with Cena @ Mania this year ---- THAT would be unpredictable (maybe have Ziggler cash in on Rock then --- I realize Ziggler's contract is for a World Heavyweight Title shot, but maybe run a storyline on Twitter or something right before Ziggler comes out saying that Ziggler petitioned the board of directors to make his briefcase good for either title (due to the fact that he's been forced to defend it) - with them granting him that opportunity) --- would be awesome IMO...

This Mania will suck and most likely sell less than last year

Re: Is WrestleMania this obvious?

I don't think it is that obvious, I haven't seen any evidence to suggest a Punk/Taker match and I'm more leaning towards a Punk/Rock/Cena triple threat for the WWE championship.

I'm hoping for the latter of the two as it would be far less (but still a little) predictable. An easy way to set that up would be for Punk to regain the title at EC (though I'm guessing WWE wants to get as much free publicity as possible from Rock's media appearances heading into 'Mania (where they talk about the fact that he is WWE Champion again during talk shows and have him with the title in photo shoots and stuff)). IF they were to go with a triple threat 'Mania Main Event and have Punk beat Rock at EC to set up said match, could see them obviously having said three-way match at 'Mania - with Cena pinning Rock --- setting up a match between Punk - who didn't get pinned to lose the title and Cena for Extreme Rules, possibly with Punk winning it back (with another re-match at the following PPV). Would easily set up the top two full time names to carry the company to SummerSlam essentially, other than the MITB PPV (which sells its self with two MITB matches and two Heavyweight Title Matches) IMO...
