If he wasn't obviously reading it from cue cards then it would have been a hell of a lot better. Also that it took him 3 tries to get his first line right.

Re: The Rock's Hard Times Promo Homage

He rushed it and sounded like he was rambling a bit. Didn't even need that promo to be honest. Shouldn't have put it right before the match anyways. Should've had it after the tag team title match.

It was awkward and made me cringe a lot. The fact that his mother has cancer is totally irrelevant to everything and there wasn't any need for him to bring it up.

Horrible promo and the content seemed a bit ridiculous.

Re: The Rock's Hard Times Promo Homage

Ah, clever to use the fact that everyone was loving Rhodes tonight to ease his reign in with any in house who still weren't feeling it.

WWE is filled with 'Good Ol' Boys' in power positions. It is just how it is, and I will keep calling WWE, Pro Wrestling in USA, as well as some of it's fans out on this because it is bollox. I do notice an apparent effort being made to mitigate this somewhat, but time will ultimately tell.

Re: The Rock's Hard Times Promo Homage

Not the greatest promos but you can't take away his passion and heart for the business still. Unlike a cheesy emotional Cena promo it actually felt authentic. Rock was ridiculously pumped and despite the promo itself not being great, you have to admire his sheer energy.

Why is everyone saying it was a bad promo? I thought it was brilliant and inspirational. Got me really pumped up for the match.
