I honestly enjoyed the rumble this year, Jericho & Goldust returns had me marking like mad, Heck even the godfather had me in shock!. The final 6 is where the match got great, it was just back and forth action, It was great

Re: Rate Royal Rumble 2013
Babyfaces won every single match.
Alberto Del Rio Vs. The Big Show has been done to death & this finish was not innovative or unique as John Cena & Batista did it not all that long ago. This match felt like complete filler while at the same time, still managing to feel short on time.
Team Hell No retained against Rhodes Scholars in a match that probably put half of the crowd to sleep, that we've all seen a dozen times & that we didn't give a shit about the first time. Bryan's beard is retarded. Cody's mustache is retarded. Kane doing comedy is retarded. The "Disdain Elbow" is retarded.
The Royal Rumble itself was disappointing. Too many jobbers. Lackluster returns. A winner that nobody wanted. When the final two men in the ring are Cena & Ryback & you're hoping Ryback wins because it's the lesser of two evils, then something is extremely wrong. The Kofi spot was stupid as hell. The Bryan/Kane spot was too. Bo Dallas being in this match was ridiculous.
The Rock was blown-up in his match within the first five minutes. Just sucking wind like The One Man Gang after a criss-cross spot. The Spanish Announce Table spot was blown & why WWE keeps trying to use those shitty breakaway tables I'll never know. The lights going out was stupid. Cole screaming over the mic that "IT'S TEH SHIELD! IT'S TEH SHIELD! I CAN SEE DEMS!" was stupid. Vince listening to The Rock to restart the match, going against his own prematch stipulations & giving the man that was just pinned a second chance was stupid. Punk's long reign ending on those shenanigans is stupid. You end a reign like that clean in the middle, not after a bunch of Russo bullshit. It's not like anyone in the building thought The Rock was losing after he cut a promo telling everyone that his mother beat cancer & was in the front row.
3/10 - and that's being generous.
and now we're getting Rock/Cena at 'Mania again (which nobody wants), probably Kane/Bryan with Hell No splitting (who gives a shit), Jericho/Dolph in what will probably be the curtain jerk & probably HHH/Brock again since he just signed a new contract & Triple H has to get his win back.
Oh joy!
Yes, I'm negative. Yes, I'm pessimistic. Yes, I should probably stop watching. This show sucked. John Cena sucks. The Rock sucks. WWE sucks. Welcome to pro-wrestling in 2013. Have fun with your "cookiepuss" & "popcorn fart" comedy segments. I feel really sorry for anyone that paid $50 for that show.
My expectations were far too big. i expected epic stuff, but all we got was some stale shit. ok. there were some good moments, too e.g. Y2J returning, Team Hell No's humour, CM Punk chants, kofi returning to the ring etc.
but the matches itsself lacked entertainment.
del rio vs. big show: i give them 2/5
team hell no vs rhodes scholar 2/5
RR-match 3/5 (although the endind sucked)
CM Punk vs. The Rock 2/5: a lot of botched moves, a table that brakes before they made a move, rocky being far to amped and so overacting, CM Punk and Rock didnt had a good chemistry, the match itsself lacked dramatargury, it was all in all really really bad. the reason why i still give them 2 points is because they tried it at least (in some parts of the match).

Thankful for CM Punk making me watching WWE again.
6/27/11 is same important as 6/23/96
A legend never dies: June 18, 1962 - June 13, 2009
Not removing until:
[] Shelton Benjamin makes a comeback
[] Charlie Haas makes a comeback
[] Kenny Dykstra makes a comeback
[] Raw makes again a 6.5 or even a higher rating
[] John Morrison becomes WWE champion
[] CM Punk wins Royal Rumble
[] CM Punk and Daniel Bryan main eventing Wrestlemania in an iron man match (and so creating epic stuff as e.g. misawa and kawada did in their matches) [] WWE pays tribute to Mitsuharu Misawa
Punk holding the title for 434 days was epic. it was the greatest reign in the history of wrestling (but not the way the reign ended): 4-3-4 4-3-4 4-3-4
Apart from Cena winning the rumble and Rock winning by a people's elbow I thought it was great.
Those two moments do mean its only getting a 7/10 from me but it was the best Rumble match we've had in years. Good surprises and some good strength and depth.
For months CM Punk as been going on and on about how the people don't matter and how hes gotten where he is despite being hated by the people. And in comes The Rock, The People's Champion, to defeat CM Punk with The People's Elbow. Tied perfectly in with the pre-match promo as well.
Edit: On topic though, I would rate it 6.5 purely based on the fact that Cena won the rumble. It would probably be a 8 or 9 if he didn't. I was naively holding on to hope they would go with someone like Ziggler, Ryback or Barrett which would leave WWE title picture for Wrestlemania a bit more unpredictable. But no, they go with Cena. 70 days until I'm done with this company.

+6 for Jericho, +2 for Rhodes/Goldust, +1 for the WHC,- 4 for Cena winning, -2 for Rock winning, -5 for the last 3, for a total score of 4/10. Overall matches were 6/10.

John Cena.
Truly the most epic heel ever. He turns brother against brother, father against son, with his "faithful" blinded by his demonic charisma. Seriously, he is like the Antichrist in revelations, sowing discord and dissension among families and generations.
John Cena is the bringer of the end times, to the wwe universe.
the royal rumble alone gave several GENUINE MARK YOUR HEADS OFF moments..
-Chris Jericho's surprise return earned the loudest pop of the night
-Goldust vs Cody Rhodes was delicious
-ADR's LAst Man Standing chokeslam spot will be remembered forever
-Rock vs Punk was an amazing match intense in ring psychology with a swerve and twist nobody saw coming.. I mean people were genuinely shocked when cm punk got the 3 count and his music played
it was a fantastic ppv!
