Do you think there's a chance he will be a surprise entrant in the Rumble tonight? Perhaps Punk eliminates him after his match with Rock to set up the Mania storyline?

If he was going to show, WWE would have hyped it up to get PPV buys. They would've used a video package, a surprise promo on RAW ... something.

He won't be here. Wait for Wrestlemania to see The Deadman.

Undertaker is such a special attraction now that he shouldn't be wasted doing surprise appearances. That doesn't help the cause. He should always be promoted in some way or fashion before an appearance because he can boost ratings or buys. At the very least, he would raise the interest level of alot of fans.

the days of wwe suprising us seem to have died because they need to hype up the returns for ratings/buys. tonight they can pull out a suprise appearance because the rumble match and the title match will get them the buys they want. with a big buyrate coming the wwe should bring their A game. sadly i have my doubts

Slim chance, but not for the reasons everybody is saying regarding buys and ratings. This PPV already has all the buys. It has the Rumble match and Punk/Rock for the title. If that doesn't make you buy the PPV, then you aren't buying period. Plus, for Undertaker's appearance to be hyped up, there should be a reason. What would the reason be? "Undertaker returns next week on Raw, what are we going to hear from the Deadman?" We all know.

It is going to happen much like Brock's return did or Taker's return last year during the HHH/Big Johnny segment. Taker will return after Punk comes out and complains about losing the WWE championship. Something along those lines. But he will have a surprise return. It won't be announced. It all depends what happens in tonight's match.

But the chances he shows up tonight are practically zero. No reason for him to show up, except as a surprise entrant but that is pretty counterproductive.

When he returned on Raw last year to challenge Triple H to their WrestleMania rematch, there was no hype whatsoever regarding his return. He just showed up, and I loved it; I hate it when they hype someone's return too much.

The chances of Taker returning will depend on the positioning of the matches tonight. If Rock/Punk is before the Rumble match, that could suggest someone will return to win the Rumble, that being either Taker or Brock Lesnar. However, if the Rumble happens before Rock/Punk, I don't expect Taker to return.
