I'm having trouble remembering the last time they did that. I want to say 2007, but I'm probably way off on that. Personally, I like when they would show the wrestlers picking their numbers, as their reactions could create a bit of suspense, good or bad. But perhaps that is why the number-picking isn't something WWE wants to do anymore - to keep the mystery intact. Nothing wrong with that.

They definitely picked at the '06 Rumble. I distinctly remember an Orton/HHH segment when HHH was shocked at his number and ended up coming out at number 1. I think that might have been the last time. Maybe '07 but can't recall it.

As stated above, 2007 was the last time I remember it. I recall Rated RKO and Ric Flair picking their numbers.

If the January 7th promo Rock and Punk had together doesn't sell you on buying this, I don't know what can. That was perfection in the form of a promo. Like you Clique, this is going to be my first purchase in over a year. Since MITB 2011, to be exact.

I just ordered as well... and this will be my first time EVER ordering a PPV, so quite excited. I figured if I ever did it, might as well do it for a RR PPV. The show better be good now. If it isn't, I'm blaming you and Wrestlinfan35 haha. =D
