Gunner, tbh, I've had one idea about the game for awhile but have kept to myself. It's fine if you don't like it, but this is my thought:
I've never liked how champions got a 0.5 point advantage. If you pull a draw, it should count as a draw, not a win just because they're champ. They should get the one point and retain on that technicality, not get an extra 2 points just for already being champ and penalize the other guy by giving him 0 when he earned his 1 point.
It doesn't happen tons, but I think it would increase the number of players who would get title shots, since guys who have been retaining on draws would fall a ways down the rankings once they lose it and have to work their way back up rather than still be on top because of all the cheap draw wins.
Not a big deal either way since the standings are reset every so often, but I always felt that anyone who already had a title had such an easy out for retaining, yet it in no way penalized them for doing so because they got wins AND remained on top of the division even if they did somehow lose due to said wins.
I also think if a champ retains more than once or twice in a row on draws, that they should be stripped of it and the top 2 guys in the division should fight for the vacant belt at the next PPV. Exceptions of course, such as them posting their picks before their opponent (and not editing), and the draw still happening shouldn't count.
It would lead to more title movement and more overall interest. Plus disincentivize people from trying to manufacture draws to retain. Just an idea.
Internet Title still be for number of correct predictions though as some people get low scores with alot of correct predictions (like Sin Jackal)
Thanks for the name drop.
