Should The Shield Compete In The Royal Rumble Match?

Lets look at the two scenarios

1. The Shield competes in the match. They compete in the match to stop Ryback from winning as well as their other enemies (Orton, Mysterio, Cara, Miz, etc.).

2. The Shield doesn't compete. Ryback comes in, dominates, only for The Shield to sneak in and eliminate him (or at least try).

Honestly, I can see it from both sides. On one hand, there is a reason they shouldn't be in the match. The Shield is a group all about preventing injustice. They (and I'm talking from a kayfabe perspective) aren't focused on winning championships and main eventing WrestleMania. Again, their #1 goal is to prevent injustice. So they would make their mission to stop their enemies from winning w/o actually competing themselves. But, at the same time you could turn everything I just said into a reason why they should compete. Oh the wacky world of wrestling.

Personally, I hope they do compete. I want to hear the buzzer go off and hear "Sierra, Hotel, India, Echo, Lima, Delta, SHIELD" over the loud speakers. Imagine it. Their music hits and the crowd is in a frenzy. "Where are they coming from?" Which member is it?" Their entrance from the crowd alone will make the match more exciting.

I Hope they don't. Them running in outta nowhere and costing ryback the rumble would work best IMO.

Top 10 all time favorites:

Stone Cold Steve Austin
The Undertaker
Shawn Michaels
Chris Jericho
Brock Lesnar
Kurt Angle
HHH
Edge
CM Punk
Kane (98-04)

They will all get eliminated single handedly by Ryback. Mark my words.

I wouldn't be against it. I think them being in it would liven things up a bit.

Option no 2 seems likely if they're not planning to give Ryback the win this year.

I'd like for them to attack 3 different superstars in the back through out the night and pretty much taking there spot.

Re: Should The Shield Compete In The Royal Rumble Match?

They will, but I pray to god they don't do the predictable;

Rollins comes out
Random wrestler comes out
Ambrose comes out
Ryback comes out
Reigns comes out

Oh my god it's The Shield all together, think of the numbers game King!~!

They've done this stupid set-up every year now, with the new Nexus, with Legacy, with the Corre etc. It's too predictable and makes it way too obvious that the numbers aren't drawn randomly. Spread it out please.
