Should The Shield Compete In The Royal Rumble Match?
Lets look at the two scenarios
1. The Shield competes in the match. They compete in the match to stop Ryback from winning as well as their other enemies (Orton, Mysterio, Cara, Miz, etc.).
2. The Shield doesn't compete. Ryback comes in, dominates, only for The Shield to sneak in and eliminate him (or at least try).
Honestly, I can see it from both sides. On one hand, there is a reason they shouldn't be in the match. The Shield is a group all about preventing injustice. They (and I'm talking from a kayfabe perspective) aren't focused on winning championships and main eventing WrestleMania. Again, their #1 goal is to prevent injustice. So they would make their mission to stop their enemies from winning w/o actually competing themselves. But, at the same time you could turn everything I just said into a reason why they should compete. Oh the wacky world of wrestling.
Personally, I hope they do compete. I want to hear the buzzer go off and hear "Sierra, Hotel, India, Echo, Lima, Delta, SHIELD" over the loud speakers. Imagine it. Their music hits and the crowd is in a frenzy. "Where are they coming from?" Which member is it?" Their entrance from the crowd alone will make the match more exciting.
