Re: Anyone else have a problem with wwe NOT building the rumble match?
Honestly, is there anything worth hyping? WWE have gone down the "being lazy while making dem benjamins. it rox." path. The only people they care about entertaining are people who are already helplessly confined to their own comfort zones.

Re: Anyone else have a problem with wwe NOT building the rumble match?
I for one am very happy with the lead up to Royal Rumble. Do you remember the last 3 years? 5 weeks of over the top rope challenges, 10 man battle royals, 20 man battle royals, as if we had forgotten the rules. It has been overkill the last few years, so it's nice to see a more relaxed build to the RR match itself this time round. The main draw this year is Punk/Rock so that's where the focus is.

Honestly, I have a problem with the WWE not building anything good in a long time.

I would like an over the top match for the 30th spot in the Rumble. I miss those days.

Re: Anyone else have a problem with wwe NOT building the rumble match?
I was hoping to see some of those classic "if you win you move to number 20 or whatever, BUT if you lose you will be the first entrant" or gimmick matches along those lines showcasing the talent that is actually going to be in the rumble. seems like all WWE wants to sell us is that Punk and Rock are gonna brawl. Which is awesome, but we already know ALL about that and not so much who is even going to be in the rumble. So thats weird. Plus if so and so beats whoever you can start a rivalry because the person who lost had to go to number 1 or 2 and they pissed about it. just an old school concept i guess!

Yeah, I agree. Did they announce any new entrants on Raw? only one more Raw left, until the Rumble and all we know is 8 wrestlers(Cena, Sheamus, Orton, Ziggler, Slater, Mahal, McIntyre, Cesaro) will be participating.

Rumble match doesn't really need build like normal matches, although it wouldn't hurt to throw in a couple of side angles just for fun.

Re: Anyone else have a problem with wwe NOT building the rumble match?
Raw - 3 Hours
SmackDown - 2 Hours
Main Event - 1 Hour
Superstars - 1 Hour
Saturday Morning Slam - ½ Hour
So 7½ hours of television per week on broadcast, cable, and internet and they can't build up the namesake of one of their big four PPVs. They used to have one hour per week cable and sometimes one hour syndicated broadcast and they hyped the hell out of everything.
At this point it's not even surprising. What the hell happened? I mean I know in the bigger scheme of things it isn't a big deal, but WWE really just doesn't seem to give a fuck about any of it anymore.
Everyone needs to start calling this the Autopilot era instead of PG.

Re: Anyone else have a problem with wwe NOT building the rumble match?
The Rumble match is one of my favorite of the year that I always look forward to regardless of build up. The anticipation during the countdown and possible surprise entries regardless of them winning or not is great. I really do hope that WWE builds it up at least a little this next Monday, considering they've got 3 hours to do it now!

Somebody should have put a bounty on Rybac k or Cena at the rumble. That way everyone is going afyer them. Sort of like Stone Cold in yhe 98 rumble.
