Jack Swagger return at Royal Rumble?
 

I actually really like Jack Swagger and think he has a lot of potential yet to fill. But I will admit he was having a disaster before taken off TV. I dont think his ship has quite sailed yet.

Its easy to jump on his back and slate the guy, but it was apparent that the year before he was taken of TV he was slipping down the roster, running through the motions and was burnt out. When all said and done Jack Swagger was one of the harder working workhorse wrestlers who was clearly burnt out and became disinterested and it became clear to see when he got quieter and quieter and became a wall flower.

Jack Swagger is one of the best technical wrestlers in the company today and to let him go would be a crying shame without giving him one last push and character change with Swagger at the time probably having the most stagnant characters and entrances in the WWE.

Id like to see him come out with a new attitude and a lot more serious rather than his over the top and fake anger. Lose the all American American gimmicks. New theme, New entrance, New video and new gimmick.

The guy is only 30 and should now be going into his prime.

It was said that WWE took him off TV because they noticed the above points that I stated and wanted to give him some time off to recharge his batteries and create a new gimmick for him.

Honestly Swagger is done... I really can't see any sort of logical reason to bring this dude back. He drew no heat and looks like an angry 8 year old when he comes down to the ring with his mean face, doing that stomp where he drags his foot on the ground. Not a bad worker, but then again, the roster does have other talented guys that haven't been given the shot he has (he did get the world title).

His move set in my opinion is a big part of the problem, him doing the ankle lock is just wrong.... in the same way it was wrong when Disco Inferno started using the stunner. The Swagger bomb is a move really only meant for the big guys on the roster.... feel bad for the guy because he's definitely got some of the skills, but he's definitely lacking in some areas.

Just have him challenge Cesaro at the rumble or enter the rumble to have a visible faceoff with cesaro

I am a big Jack Swagger fan and desperately want him to do well but I have do admit he is severely lacking in charisma and does not look like a star at all so it is a big ask for him to ever become a main eventer. A change of gimmick and attitude would be a good start though- his current attempts at being an angry and intense guy are doing him no favours at all.

and that is a very good idea- they have the perfect foil to turn Swagger face in a feud with Cesaro- whether it would work or not is down to how well it is built so people actually have reason to get behind Swagger other than the fact that he is American.

If Swagger doesn't return with a Vengeance,he has no chance in this business.

Just fix what you didn't do to start with Swagger, it's that simple.. If not, Peace.

Swagger is a polarizing guy for a lot of people here... I've always thought he was solid, but never spectacular. He really has needed a tweak in character for a while now, so hopefully they find something for him.

I don't know if he's suited for a singles run though, and it might be time to try him as a face. I think Swagger & Derrick Bateman could make a decent tag team, with the straight man/funny man routine. Dub them 'The USA Guys' or something, whatever you like. I think you'd probably have some comedy gold on your hands if you let those two do their thing.

That'd be my suggestion, at the very least. I know others can't stand him, but the guy is obviously an athlete and moves really well for a guy his size. That can take you a long way in the wrestling business, you just need to find the right niche.

He comes back in the Rumble. Plays as a face, does a couple of cool spots and the get thrown ovah teh top ropez by the Shield! :jay2

I hope you're right. It would be cool to see Swagger dominate the RR
