Re: Official Hall Of Fame Discussion Thread

So I assume they once again won't show the HOF in full as a ploy to make you buy the Wrestlemania set.

Happy for Foley though, more than deserves it, one of the best mic workers ever. Played multiple different characters with skill. And wasn't afraid to take extreme bumps.

Re: Official Hall Of Fame Discussion Thread

If there's one person I want to see live in the arena getting into the Hall of Fame, it's the Motherfucking Undertaker man. I will shed so many tears that day. I don't care if I need to spend and buy an overpriced travel package.

But anyway, Foley is MORE then deserving to be in. Legend of the business!

King Kong Bundy teased that he will be a member of the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2013. "Sounds like someone listened to the #Bundyholics regarding my Hall of Fame," Bundy wrote on Twitter. "Huge announcement tomorrow night."

Bundy headlined WrestleMania II with Hulk Hogan and had a successful run with the company. He's also a New Jersey native, so an induction at Madison Square Garden would be a nice touch.

Bought my ticket yesterday. Hope The Rock inducts the Micker!

Would love to see Trish in the hall of fame. Randy Savage and Ms. Elizabeth in the same class would be great too.

WWE officials had talks last week about inducting either DX or The Kliq - Shawn Michaels, Triple H, Kevin Nash, Scott Hall and Sean Waltman, as one group, into the WWE Hall of Fame this year. It's not confirmed that they will go in but it was definitely talked about over the last week.
PWInsider noted that Bob Backlund was at WWE headquarters in Stamford last week. WWE wants to induct Backlund this year but word is that he has not yet accepted the invite.

Regarding Bruno Sammartino, word within WWE over the last week is they hope to reach out to Bruno again to ask him about being inducted this year. One source believes Triple H is planning to offer to personally travel to Pittsburgh to meet with Bruno.

With all the names floating around for possible induction this year, it's safe to say nobody is confirmed yet except for Mick Foley. We noted yesterday that Kamala may be the next name announced.

This just posted. Inducting the Kliq as a group seems interesting in a putting-themselves-over kind of way. DX would make sense, but only if Triple H is done wrestling.

If these reports are true, it seems like Trips is really set on getting Bruno for the Hall.

Source is PWinsider. Crap report as usual.

Their reports are all based on online discussions. Here's the one about RAW 20 -

WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels is considered a lock for tonight's RAW 20th anniversary show. WWE officials really wanted him there because he was the Intercontinental Champion on the very first episode. Michaels is also from Texas so he will get the big local pop.

- Another star from Texas who is expected tonight is The Undertaker. It is confirmed that he will be wrestling at WrestleMania 29 and his most likely opponent is CM Punk. We may see the beginning of that feud tonight on RAW.

- As noted before, Bret Hart was contacted about tonight's RAW anniversary show but told officials he only wanted to come back if they really had something for him to do. A source confirms that Bret was very upset that they brought him into the RAW 1000 show for what ended up being just a small ringside appearance.

fail!

Besides, the idea of inducting KLIQ is totally laughable. They were a backstage group never acknowledged onscreen.

Could anyone imagine down the line:

Kilq inducted
DX inducted
Evolution inducted
HHH inducted

Odd, but could happen I guess.

I love thinking of all the potential headliners still to go into the HOF:

Taker
HHH
Vince
Angle
Kane (hmmmm, maybe not headliner)
Jericho
Cena
Orton
Punk
JBL
Christian (or E+C together?)

Also there's the Dudleyz, Hardyz, APA etc

No way does the Kliq or DX or HHH for that matter get inducted into the HOF before Undertaker no way

"Ravishing" Rick Rude should be inducted, and he should get a dvd of his great work in:

WCCW, WWF, WCW, ECW (manager) and probably more.

Earlier, PWInsider.com reported there have been discussions in WWE for either The Kliq or DX to be inducted this year into the Hall of Fame.

WZ has learned from sources to expect DX to be inducted and for WWE to recognize Shawn Michaels, Triple H, Sean Waltman, Billy Gunn and Road Dogg at the ceremony.

We're told the DX group is expected to headline the 2013 class.

This would make Shawn Michaels the second two time hall of famer behind Ric Flair who was inducted both by himself and with the Four Horsemen.

Really, come on I want Mick Foley to headline this HoF, he already had his acceptance speech reduced to a "Lets all oggle at how strong Ryback is" segment, I can't help but feel bitter if HHH ends up taking Foley's spotlight this year.

I don't mind them being inducted, but not now considering quite a few are still sort of wrestling.

They never had a group go on last in a hof ceremony. If the Kliq is inducted it wont go after Foley, if its DX idk

#109 ·
So they want to induct a backstage, pilled up, politicking group that made people miserable, threw their weight around and fucked with others careers? Alrighty then.
What kind of "those were the days" speeches can they even mention that didn't involve being fucked up out of their mind and scheming? Dat born again Christianity.

:lmao At this whole post. Well done.

Also, to those saying that Chyna or Rick Rude not going in with DX would hurt the legitimacy of the HOF, what about Ole Anderson not going in with the Horsemen? Did many people complain about that (that we know of)?

LOL if Trips gets three inductions with Evolution, DX, and himself.

#111 ·
I'm kinda against the idea of DX being inducted into the Hall of Fame. Chyna was a part of that group as well. You might as well add in Rick Rude because he was the manager of the group before he bolted to WCW the week after his last appearance (RAW was taped for his last appearance). So yeah, if HHH, HBK, Road Dogg, Billy Gunn and X-Pac get in, I think that's going to cause a lot of controversy. It will probably make everyone realize that you have to be in Vince's favor or good side to even get considered to get in. So since Chyna isn't on good terms with Vince and Stephanie, that ain't gonna happen. The more the deserving guys don't get in the HoF, the more it won't look as legit as it could be. But if DX gets in, I will still mark though.

#112 ·
DX is one thing, but Kliq would be a joke. The WWE Hall of Fame isn't legit anyways. Guys like Foley make it seem great, but then they turn around and put jobbers and celebrities and kill it off again. To the kliq, the HoF is just a boys club where they induct each other and get their faces on tv.
