John Cena is coming off the worst year of his life in his career storyline wise. If that's not a build up to winning the Rumble, I don't know what is. He hasn't been WWE Champion for 15 months, he lost to the Rock is what he considered to be the biggest match of his life, and he got his ass kicked by Lesnar. I'll say this right now:
Punk vs. Rock will close the show. Cena will win the Rumble earlier in the night. Rock beats Punk setting Punk free to have his scheduled match with the Undertaker at Mania. The show ends with a Cena/Rock staredown, implying we're getting Cena/Rock II. It's a foregone conclusion we're getting Cena/Rock II for the title at Mania. The ONLY way that match makes sense is Rock winning the title and Cena winning the Rumble.
So, here's what your WrestleMania card is going to look like:
Cena vs. Rock II for the title
Punk vs. Undertaker for the Streak
Lesnar vs. Triple H II in some sort of gimmick match for Triple H to get revenge
Sheamus vs. Randy Orton for the World Heavyweight Title
Ryback vs. Big Show to put over Ryback
Look at me dead in the face and tell me that's not where WWE is heading right now. It's simple, it's logical, and more importantly, it's a card that makes sense they would book.

It sucks, but I think you are right. But for some reason I think Rock will actually lose against CM Punk and win the title until EC. I mean if they are having the stupid idea to have Cena/Rock II at least they need to make the feud as short as posible. There's a lot of time between RR and WM...what are they going to do in all that time? The feud will get stale even more. Just a guess.
I really hope they don't have people that were in the world title matches earlier be in the Rumble(Rock or Punk this year), it's really irritating. They already had a title match, they had their opportunity that night.
I feel like they really want Rock/Cena II which doesn't make much sense after all their 'Once in a Lifetime' shtick last year but it's in character for them to ignore that. I keep hoping that they'll incorporate Punk into the match. Yes it'll be another Triple Threat involving Punk and Cena but it'd sure be alot more interesting than another Rock/Cena singles match.
I do think there's like a 2.1% chance Rock won't get the title at the Royal Rumble and that's only because as much as I think they'd like him to be champion I do wonder if they'd be ok with having the WWE Champion only make sporadic appearances for the next month and possibly not have a WWE Title match at Elimination Chamber.
On another note, I think Cesaro is going to have a very good run in the Royal Rumble. Possibly coming out early in the match so he can be in there maybe twenty to thirty minutes before one of the later Main Event entrants like Orton, Sheamus or Cena eliminates him.
- Cesaro (i'm really liking this guys so far, on main event he looked like a motherfucking emperor)
- Daniel Bryan (i don't think he needs to main event again right now, he's ready but he's doing well in the midcardm but ehi, i like him, what can you do, right?
- Ziggler (again, he doesn't need this, but i would be fooling myself saying i'm not gonna root for him)
- Orton (he needs to be relevant again, i mean seriously)
now, probably neither of them is gonna win the rumble, so i'm not getting my hopes up, but if ziggler manage to eliminate Cena with a kamikaze attack, or even better with the sweet zig music i would be happy anyway
The Rock (C) vs. John Cena vs. CM Punk for the WWE Title in a Triple Threat match
Brock Lesnar vs. The Undertaker for the Streak
Randy Orton (C) vs. Alberto Del Rio vs. Sheamus in a Triple Threat for the World Heavyweight Championship
Notice how the card becomes immediately better when we don't have an rematches of any sort, and Triple H isn't there to bury Lesnar and get his win back against him.
