I hope so dude, and WWE needs to give him a role that will get the crowd over. We all know he can put on matches... See Shelton vs hbk, Shelton vs. Jericho, Shelton vs. Hardy, etc...

Re: Official Royal Rumble Match Discussion Thread
We only have 10 guys official for the Rumble so far? That is a little odd. It is a little more than a week before the show. You'd think they'd have at least 20 lined up for it.
But Cena is going to win. Either him or Ryback.

Well, with all of the potential returns they could have 10 returning superstars, so technically there could be only 10 spots to fill....

Royal Rumble Match Favorites For 2013
Who do you think will be the top favorites in the rumble match this year, that will most likely make it to the final 5 or final 6 standing?
John Cena, Ryback, Sheamus, Randy Orton, and Dolph Ziggler will definitely make it to the end. I could possibly see Brock Lesnar returning and being one of the final 6 too.

Re: Official Royal Rumble Match Discussion Thread
I know that there a lot of people that are upset with the possibility of Cena winning the Rumble, but I have no problem with it at all. Not because I'm a huge Cena fan, because I'm not, but because it would restore a bit of credibility to the Rumble. If Cena actually wins the Rumble and goes on to defeat The Rock and win the WWE Championship in the main event (the real main event) of WrestleMania, it will be the first time that has happened since 2005. And really, 2003, if you take it a step further and count the fact that Benoit and Batista won the World Heavyweight Championship in 2004 and 2005. That's eye-opening.
I say give Cena the Rumble victory. It's not as if there are many other entertaining options. It's way too early for Ryback, in my opinion. Sheamus already won last year. Lesnar would be a nice surprise, but it ain't going to happen. Ziggler doesn't need it, since he's going to become World Heavyweight Champion at some point between now and July. In truth, Cena really does seem like the best, and for them, the easiest, option for what WWE is trying to set up.
The only thing that would be more satisfying to me is Punk winning the Rumble after losing the title to Rock earlier in the night because I would like to see Punk get a Rumble win on his resume. I don't see that as a realistic possibility, though, because I strongly believe that Rock/Punk will main event Royal Rumble, so WWE can close out the show with Rock winning the title.

Re: Official Royal Rumble Match Discussion Thread
I wou say that Rock is losing the WWE title match and then he wins the Rumble as the last entrant

- We've noted how WWE officials are interested in bringing back some familiar midcard names to the roster. Part of the reason for this is to help with live event attendance, mainly on the SmackDown side.
- It was recently reported that Tommy Dreamer's name was brought up in a WWE creative meeting about surprise Royal Rumble entrants. MVP and Shelton Benjamin were also discussed for the Rumble. Their names have came up a lot within the company lately. They are part of the list of talents WWE would like to bring back to help with the roster depth and attendance. The problem with MVP returning is that he's under contract to New Japan.
Another name rumored within WWE recently was Low Ki, formerly known as Kaval on NXT. Kaval is considered a long shot and his return is probably just a rumor.
One team we can expect to see in the 30-man Rumble match is The New Age Outlaws - "Road Dogg" BG James and Billy Gunn.
