Re: Could The 2013 Rumble Match Be The Most Star Studded Ever?
The problem with looking back at older Rumbles is that we forget which wrestlers were prominent, which wrestlers weren't good yet, which wrestlers were irrelevant and so forth. I mean, people have listed Shawn Michaels on the 1992 Rumble roster as having star power but he was just coming off the split with the Rockers but you could make an argument that any of Rhodes/Sandow/Barrett are much bigger names now than Michaels was in '92. Heck, depending on how the future pans out, if people like the 3 I mentioned above become permanent upper-card/main-event players and they also establish other guys like Ziggler and The Shield among others, then are you going to say 10yrs from now that 2012 was one of the most star-studded line-ups in history?
When I personally look back at rosters and line-ups, I don't look at what they've become, I look at what they were at the time being.
