Love the poster. I feel if Flair did not win that night then maybe the event would not be talked about as much. Flair was a huge part of its success.

Voted 2006. First Rumble I ever saw in its entirety. Loved the Eddie Guerrero Tribute, Orton back when he was still the Legend Killer, Trips with dat Stash. 2006 Rumble will always be special to me.

He wasn't at the PPV (storyline injury).
I can't say an exact favourite but 1998 comes to mind. 11 years old, coming home from school and tuning in to see Vader/Goldust, Rock/Shamrock, Taker/HBK. Then the rumble with Austin, Rocky going "coast to coast" in the words of JR. Foley's 3 appearances, the entire Nation of Domination in it at same time. Was just a fun event and Rumble match. Was a platform for the greatness that followed.

Yeah, 2001 as the overall match goes. Though, 2007 deserves a mention if only for the best last 2 ever.

Re: Best Royal Rumble Match in history?
1992 hands down because of the star power such as Flair, Sid Justice, Hogan, Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, British Bulldog, Million Dollar Man, IRS, Piper, Jake the Snake, Macho Man, etc. but Flair lasting the whole hour and winning the WWE Championship as well as the Rumble match all in the same match in the same night
1993 was also pretty good too

Re: Best Royal Rumble Match in history?
Why aren't the 88, 89, 90 and 91 Rumbles on the list? Sure, nothing too special but you never know, somebody here might have wanted to vote for them.
For me, the 1992 Rumble was the best one, based solely on Flair's performance throughout. And sad how WWE has to edit the crowd reactions when Hogan got eliminated. And I also liked Savage's performance but weird how he hopped over the top rope to the floor, which signals an elimination but was allowed to reenter the match.
I also liked the 1998 Rumble, with everybody stopping when Austin's music hit and him clearing house. And both 07 and 08 were pretty epic to me.

Re: Best Royal Rumble Match in history?
Generation battle going on here really, I can see why some love 1992 and I can see why some love 2001, I prefer the latter. Kane's performance was phenomenal. The star power was equal atleast to any other Rumble and Austin winning it capped it off.
