Re: WrestleMania XXIX Match Card Predictions
Antonio Cesaro vs. Jack Swagger
Doesn't matter who wins but bottom line is Swagger returning as a patriotic face and getting a new push & Cesaro eventually moving on to the upper mid card or main event scene
Wade Barrett vs. Richie Steamboat
Richie wins title & Barrett moves on to main event scene
Tag Titles (Tag Team Turmoil Match)
Team Hell No vs. Team Rhodes Scholars vs. International Airstrike vs. PTP vs. The Miz and Alberto Del Rio vs. Kofi Kingston and R-Truth
Hell No lose titles to either PTP or Rhodes Scholars, Kane blames Bryan and brutally attacks him, turning monster heel again and setting up a feud for Extreme Rules
Rey Mysterio vs. Sin Cara
Could be face vs. face or Sin Cara could play the heel. Either way, ends with Mysterio passing the torch onto Sin Cara. If Sin Cara stays face, the match is mask vs. mask but Sin Cara doesnt unmask Rey out of respect.
Ryback vs. Big Show
Ryback gets a good rub and somehow manages to life Show up for Shellshocked. Ryback is then established as a top face in the company.
Sheamus vs. Randy Orton (Street Fight)
Sheamus turns heel sometime before this match, he needs it much more than Orton because Orton's character is still a jerk, he just needs more edge. Sheamus, on the other hand, has gone soft since winning last year's Rumble, and needs to go back to being the ruthless asshole he was in 2009/10. Have Sheamus win this match and become Smackdown's top heel.
Alternatively, this could be a face vs. face feud, with Orton passing the torch to Sheamus & Sheamus going on to truly become Smackdown's top face (although I much prefer the first scenario)
World Heavyweight Championship
Dolph Ziggler vs. Chris Jericho
Ziggler cashes in sometime soon, Jericho returns at Rumble match, wins and challenges Ziggler in revenge for sending him packing. Beats Ziggler at 'Mania and has one long last run with the WHC, he deserves it for everything he's done for the company over the years.
CM Punk vs. The Rock vs. Brock Lesnar
Though Rock is one of my all-time favourites, he shouldnt win at the Rumble because right now he's a part-timer at best. Plus Punk is making history with his title reign & id like to see it continue as long as possible. Punk retains @ RR & Rock wants a rematch at 'Mania; Lesnar shows up somewhere along the way & wants a shot too. I dont know which side Heyman should take, but Punk should win at WM and stay heel in the process.
John Cena vs. The Undertaker (No Holds Barred/No DQ Match)
Cena hits 5 moves of doom but 'Taker kicks out and then makes Cena tap out clean to Hell's Gate
