Default Your favorite Royal Rumble and favorite Rumble moments.

I have always loved Battle Royals. I could waste hours just watching vintage Battle Royals on you tube. To me the Rumble is one of the can't miss events of the year. I especially love it when guys make their return to the WWE or debut at the Rumble. It is one of the few things I still mark out for. To me the best Rumbles are the ones where the winner is not one of the obvious choices. There has been one too many years where you just knew a certain guy was going to win.

All that being said I still love the 1989 Rumble the best. The lineup was a literal who's who of the wrestling world in that era. It featured one of my favorite moments when AX and Samsh were one and two and went toe to toe. I also loved the fact that Big John Studd won. I suspected he might but I was afriad they would let Hogan win again. To bad John was unable to physically follow up that win.

So what's your favorite Rumble and what is your favorite Rumble moment?

Favorite Royal Rumble: 1992
Favorite Moment: Aside from Sid eliminating Hogan to an extremely loud ovation, Ric Flair winning the WWE Title.

1992.

The GOAT Commentary performance by Bobby Heenan was amazing. It blows my mind how much better that commentary performance was than any other commentary performance in history. When it's over and Heenan loses his mind ..... The Greatest EVER.

I haven't see them all but 92 is also my favorite. Flair coming in at number 3 and winning it all is my favorite moment.

1992 is everyone's favourite rumble it seems and it's mine too

Heenans commentary is the GOAT like paulheymanguy said.

Not my favourite moment but when Cena returned in 2008, I was utter speechless when he came out.

Also Shawn/taker finishing sequence of 2007 deserves mentioning

92 Rumble will always be one of my all time favorite Rumbles--Heenan's commentary alone was awesome

Some other moments alone I personally liked:
-Snuka-Piper nostalgic square of in '08.
-Snitsky's elimination of Paul London in '05 was just brutal.
-Perfect's surprise entrance in '02 and his brief encounter with Angle.

I too am a big fan of Battle Royals because of the chaotic nature of them as well as the occasional match ups that don't normally happen.

My favorite Rumble is like others in this thread. Ric Flair winning it all, ending Hogan's Royal Rumble winning streak at two in a row, and taking the WWF title (thus justifying the "Real World's Champion") is the stuff GOATs are made of.

I also agree with another poster who gave props to Heenan's performance on the commentary. All pretense of professionalism and journalistic integrity were out the window as the Brain openly rooted for his latest protege'. Gorilla helped sell it with comments like "see ya later Flair" as he nearly got dumped out. Just classic stuff.
