With history on the line, how much would you be willing to sacrifice? What lengths would you be willing to go to? How far, how fast and how hard would you climb to etch your name in the annals of WWE legend?

It’s a question John Cena and Dolph Ziggler will have to answer at WWE TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs, when The Showoff will put his most prized possession on the line (no, not his abs) against the Cenation leader in a Ladder Match: the Money in the Bank contract for the World Heavyweight Championship.

And no, “history-making” is not hyperbole in this case. Cena is the only Superstar in WWE history to cash in his own Money in the Bank contract and fail to win a World Title as a result (he redeemed a WWE Championship contract at Raw 1,000 and beat WWE Champion CM Punk by disqualification, earning him the victory but denying him the prize). And only one Superstar in history has ever lost his Money in the Bank contract in a one-on-one match. So for Cena, TLC represents an opportunity no other Superstar has ever had: a second chance and, more importantly, an opportunity to rectify his failure at Raw 1,000 and end 2012 with the World Heavyweight Title firmly in his sights.

For Ziggler, however, the stakes are higher. The Showoff had to fight and claw to get his hands on the contract in the first place, and minus some early almost-attempts at redeeming the prize, Ziggler has proven quite stingy in his willingness to cash in. But while The Showoff has left the incumbent titleholder Big Show to his own devices against Sheamus, he’s very quietly become a force to be reckoned with. In the last month alone, Ziggler has amassed a series of impressive wins over Randy Orton, including one in a Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Tag Team Match in which Ziggler emerged as the sole survivor. He’s also taken Cena to the limit in a one-on-one match on Raw, a surge indicating The Showoff’s time to seize the prize is likely fast approaching.

But now, he may not get the chance. While Ziggler is reaching his apex, Cena has been operating at his own for some time. As a previous Money in the Bank winner and a two-time World Heavyweight Champion himself, the Cenation leader will find himself in a very familiar, very comfortable position at TLC. Ziggler, on the other hand, is in a precarious one. The Showoff is all momentum at this point, and there’s no Superstar who can take that away faster than Cena. Granted, this is not the same Ziggler who wheeled and dealed his way to a tainted World Title victory in 2011. This is not even the same Ziggler who won the Money in the Bank contract this past July. This is something far tougher than that. Something much closer to the top-tier wrestler he has always claimed to be.

But is it enough? History looms large for both Superstars. One can rewrite it, and one can avoid ending up on the wrong side of it. Only one question now remains: What are they prepared to do?

Well, I guess the predictions were right. Money In The Bank briefcase on the line.

But I don't think Cena is winning. No way he's being drafted to Smackdown.

What are your guys' guesses?

Punk was meant to win against ryback with the ppv ending with cena cashing in his newly won money in the bank and becoming wwe champion to face rock at royal rumble.

If anyone wants a ticket to tlc today for literally whatever you want to pay me I have 2 extras one in the lower section 8, row 8, seat 9 and the other is a little higher up. Literally whatever you're willing to pay. Email yipps88@me.com

Apparently there is a report that says that WWE is considering using the MITB contract for the WWE title.
- We should get confirmation during tonight's RAW on whether or not Dolph Ziggler will put his Money in the Bank briefcase on the line against John Cena at the TLC pay-per-view. The idea has been discussed and apparently officials have no problem with using the SmackDown briefcase on the WWE Title.

John Cena vs. Dolph Ziggler - Ladder Match for the World Heavyweight Championship Money in the Bank contract

My ultimate scenario (yet highly unrealistic), have Cena win the MITB briefcase. Even though, I'm sure WWE wants Rock to take the title off Punk at Royal Rumble so he can have a couple months run as champ, I would love for Punk to retain. Have them do a rematch at Wrestlemania where the Rock wins and then boom, have Cena pull off the heel turn by cashing in the case and beating the Rock. Ain't happening, but one can dream.

Im with you on this. Ive never ever come on here saying that i would stop watching etc cant see the point but when this match was announced my heart sank! The fact they've been reporting that they may swerve and allow a cash in on the WWE title makes Cena winning almost inevitable, burying (and yes in this instance burying is the right word) Ziggler in the process. IF Cena wins, then i give up totally and will stop watching altogether.

You're just butt hurt that Dolph Ziggler will rightfully have a world title reign before your boy Wade Barrett (I don't count Dolph's first reign). Grow up man, Dolph deserves his reign and I for one am very much looking forward to it like a lot of people in the IWC and the casual fanbase as well.

On point though, yes I believe this ups the chance that Dolph will cash in earlier in the night to become World Champion which either gets him out the match with Cena or forces him to defend it and retaining.

I have a feeling WWE just doesn't care for Ziggler, which is too bad. He's great in the ring, is coming into his own on the mic, but I have a feeling that Pyro's feeling about him cashing in before the match with Cena is true. They'd give him another short ass reign, to make him look like a bitch and Cena's the hero again.

If Cena wins then fuck it for Dolph until proven otherwise. Either that or another good build for a rising star is on the way. But I'm not sure Cena is gonna be booked to look weak against Dolph going it to face maybe Rock or whoever. But damn, this will be an interesting one, and the PPV just took a step up.

But if the reports about Ziggles taking a majority of the first part of 2013 with Orton are true, then maybe. And Shield is probably working for Ziggler.

If this meant it would unify the titles then I'm 100% rooting for Cena, and don't care if he wins at Mania'. There should be only one world title.

Let me guess WWE just couldn't let their superman end the year with a failed cash in of money in the bank so instead he's going to bury Ziggler and his chances of a push.

Seriously though if Cena wins FUCK WWE!

TLC ppv make or break for Dolph Ziggler?

Well if you watched raw the money in the bank contract is on the line in the TLC match of Dolph Ziggler Vs John Cena, i think this match will make or break his zigglers career, if Ziggler wins it does show him to be a main eventer in some extent even though his build hasn't been the greatest he would have a big victory the biggest in his career against the top dog of the company,i can see to things playing out if he loses, firstly he loses and Cena wins the world title and wwe creative creates a different build up to Ziggler, or i can see Ziggler losing and is forgotten in the main event picture for wresltemania season and continues in the main event after or just gets misused similar to guys like del rio. I feel even though they build him a different way to the title after tlc, losing to cena will be like 20 steps backwards for him

I think Ziggler wins in some cheap way and cashes it in on this night.

post what you guys think
