It's very simple. Make it a regular match, just add the "Chairs are legal" stipulation. Therefore, it's a traditional match, but you're allowed to punish hit your opponent with chairs. Anything else leads to DQ.

Both wrestlers are given a toolbox and the necessary material for building a chair. They each begin constructing a chair in the ring and when one wrestler is finished, he must present it to a panel of steel chair manufacturing experts who are seated ringside.
If his chair is of an acceptable standard and meets all requirements set by the panel, he must then deliver one head shot to his opponent and he wins

Yeah I can't think of anything,The chair's match is fucking stupid.Anybody remember when Batista hit Undertaker with a low blow and the match got restarted even though he was in the chair's match? Goodness nothing has come out of these "chair matches" but sheer stupidity.

It's one of those match concepts that doesn't really work and should be phased out.

Honestly, "weapons" matches rarely go well. I'm talking about matches that name specific implements, like chair, chain, etc. I often find myself wondering, "if there are no rules, why not go after ANY weapon?"

Come to think of it, how many great tables matches have there been? Dudleys/Hardys?

Possibly the only match type where the hasn't been a single good match? Tables matches are usually poor, but the tag tables matches of the early 2000s were all very good (RR 2000, NWO 2001, SVS 2002 etc).

Taker/Batista, Barrett/Cena & Henry/Show were all disappointing. Hopefully Sheamus vs Show bucks that trend...

That's what the rules are actually. No one just hasn't produced a good match under this gimmick. This match would be more brutal, innovative, and tell a better story in late 90s-early 00s ECW or WWF. Especially if it involved guys like RVD, Raven, Mankind, Edge & Christian, etc.
